Does challenge progress carry over -- not just the stat boosts rewarded by them -- between characters on one account? For example, if I'm working to kill 1,000 bandits, can I achieve that with 500 on one character and 500 on another?
I recently downloaded Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX to my pc however , when i start playing i cannot use any of the trick keys(jump ect). BUT when i press ESC twice(in quick succession) it jumps. I took a look at the controls settings and it seems that the game is registering my keyboard as a "joypad"...
I was considering whether or not to buy Dishonored, and watching gameplay of it on Youtube, when a thought popped into my head: is Dishonored free-roam? Can you go anywhere you want, similarly to Fallout or The Elder Scrolls?
If people would stop going, "It's ok, take your time", and rather, "Dude, you promised this. Cough it up. Now.", I suspect they'd actually get off their asses and do it.

@Mana Like I said, we were discussing their contributions, and what was wrong with them. I've attempted to post a comment beside each of them that is lacking.
I'd also like to point out, however, that many of my attempts to help users result in backlash to me, personally. Really, given how often I get attacked when trying to help users, I shouldn't be trying anymore. I should be driveby downvoting and forgetting about them.
@murgatroid99 I think it's dangerous though if we let ourselves get carried away in chat and lose focus on being constructive towards helping users. it builds up a poisonous attitude towards the users who are being problematic, which exacerbates the problem as opposed to helping it.
So if the choice is backlash for terse and blunt comments, or backlash for understanding and helpful comments, it honestly doesn't matter which I choose.
@Mana OK, I see that problem. I guess it just seems like this is the only place where someone can vent about a frustrating user/experience, so there should be a little leeway.
I've got a pretty thick skin, and for the most part, I don't really care about getting attacked. If it gives them something to focus on, and prove me wrong by fixing up their content, I'm happy, and the site's happy.
I think a new user deserves at least one comment explaining what they did wrong the first time. We have many non-obvious rules, and we should try to explain them to new users. But if a user reacts badly to this, there is no reason at all to leave a second comment, walking away is the only sane option at that point.
At some point in the game, you start getting bribes of 5 credits for every 2 immigrants you detain. Whilst slamming the detain button as soon as you see it is easy, it often takes a while to get a suspicious character out of my booth. I don't think Mana is attacking you, he's just trying to give helpful advice. If we ridicule on chat the user we're helping on the site, people eventually notice
@badp I didn't think he was. And other than posting his profile (which, really, can be deleted), nothing I was talking about was ridiculing him. It was pointing out the issues with his contributions, and what needs to be done to fix them.
And that's one of the primary purposes of the Bridge, no?

I'm sorry for singling you out @fbueckert, I really didn't mean to make it about you. I just feel increasingly like the Bridge is becoming a place where users who have screwed up are really unwelcome, and that's scary to me because I started out as a user who completely screwed up.
Without this third place the site and especially meta would be a much different place; a land of foreigners who barely know each other yet they always cross the same streets

How should I defeat the final boss in Petz Dogs 2 for the Wii? What equipment or food do I need to bring? I tried with jerky as a food but I constantly get knocked unconscious!
I'll add that as a moderator, any public discussion of specific user misbehaviour is somewhat troubling. It could easily lead to major drama if the subject of the discussion finds their way to the Bridge, and it looks rather hostile at times. But then it is rather unfair of me to complain about this as I can vent about users in private as a mod, and regular users don't have that option here on SE.
@Mana I would just point out that even users that screw up get second, third, fourth, and more chances. I don't think there's ever been a user who we've totally decided, as a community, we don't ever want anymore.

I mean playing free, killing anyone like in Assassin's Creed.
