I have deleted the comment since then. It wasn't phrased harshly or anything but the whole thing doesn't sit well with me. I would advice against it and will remove it if I see such comments or they happen to get flagged.

One thing, it puts a bad light on the purpose of the site and the community and second, I have seen people who were phrasing these comments in a gentle tone at first gradually turn to a bit more demanding tone. If I could stop these people at first and help them find their true purpose of being here, that's a success for me.

But of course, you could still disagree with me and that's fine with me too.

@jokerdino The way the "ask to accept" is being phrased is extremely critical. Since you already deleted Zanna's comment, there is no way (at least for me..., not sure what high-rep users and mods can see) to assess if it was a reasonable ask. While i wouldn't doubt that you saw people getting more demanding over time, I would hesitate to extrapolate to anyone else (including Zanna). I have also seen users thanking people for reminding them to accept.

@jokerdino My point here is an "ask to accept" should be evaluated carefully and not all of them are bad or should be deleted.

@jokerdino Thanks. That's a reasonable ask in my opinion. Like it or not, the green check mark stands out a lot and a person scanning on AU for a problem he/she has will get drawn to an accepted answer that has proven to work for at least 1 person (the OP).

It doesn't seem to be primarily motivated by that +15 rep as far as I can tell and for as long as I cannot read minds.
