Moffat just seems to have lost any sense of pacing. Look at the series 6 final, where river and the doctor got married. That felt 100% forced and rushed. The level of writing was on the same level of a poorly written slash fan fic.

@OrigamiRobot I also just felt like the writing itself was poor when amy was trying to make the doctor be good.

The Fires of Pompeii was a good example of that being done right. Where The Doctor wasn't going to save anyone, since it the destruction of pompeii was supposed to happen, and Donna pleaded with him to save someoen, and he did.

The writing was really well done.

@Fluttershy BL2 will probably take longer than many but it's got a lot of replay value. If you just want to sit down and burn through shorter games you might want to try other things first (harvest moon will also take ages btw. And there's no "beating" it)

@Wipqozn Yeah, they do have objectives to varying degrees. I stopped playing the Wii Rune Factory a while after being the "story", before even doing the whole dating thing...oddly enough it felt more grindy than the actual grinding in that game
