@fbueckert When would you learn? If I could only have 1 guitar lesson per year and had no access to a guitar the rest of the time, it would be hard to learn.
I know this is pretty lame question, but I want to buy a graphics card for my PC, but ive never built a pc before and dont want to buy one that wont fit!
I have a barebones pc that currently has an integrated graphics card, but i would like to have a dedicated one.
Here is my computer specs

@GnomeSlice Both are free if you get Playstation plus (for as long as your PS+ sub is active). I got it on PS3 and it's always been worth it. Though I got Wipeout for pay, and wasn't disapointed at all
@GnomeSlice There's almost always one or two good games and some okay games in the free lineup for PS3. On PS3 it rotates monthly, slower on Vita at the moment, since it's got a smaller library
Oh and you can download most PSP/PSX games from the PSN for Vita
@GnomeSlice Time limited in that: You have to "claim" games before they rotate out (sometimes they rotate back in) by "purchasing them" for free, and you can only play the free PS+ games while your subscription is active. So buying it for a year means you can play them for a year (part of why I keep the sub active. As long as there's even a few good games you actually play it's worth the per-year cost)
and I believe as long as you were active and downloaded it at least once during the offer period/your sub, you can get it again later, even if your sub lapses. been a while since I looked at the detailed terms, though.
@badp Heh. No, it's a thing you go to. They set up a skid pad in a parking lot, provide cars with smoother tires, and you go out with an instructor and practice regaining control. They also have a camera in the car videoing you so you can see afterwards how you reacted
when they initially offered, I'd not played most of the PS3 games they were offering, so I picked it up for 3 mos. played some good games, on the whole, I don't regret it.
@badp PS+ also automatically uploads save files to their cloud and downloads patches, so that's sweet too. Much less time waiting for patches (though I don't know if it downloads patches for disk games that aren't in the console?)
@Fluttershy I would suggest doing The Walking Dead. seems like something that's finishable in a reasonable amount of time, and it would up your confidence for the rest. some of those are long games :)
@Ullallulloo I must have missed it, because I ended up on the other side of the (tiny) world, and made some money building fires in the street and dancing around them.
> What is the first thing that a lot of people do when they start a game that features a sidekick? They shoot the sidekick.
@BenBrocka Hahahahaha
> Oh, but of course. They check if a chair can be pushed around. See if glass breaks. Jump on stuff. Look for weak textures. See if bullets leave holes. Tea-bag the first enemy killed. Try to open every door and every drawer. Stare at the grass to see if it moves. Check if they cast a shadow.
When the combine guard tells you to pick up the can and you're like "holy shit I can pick up the can". The game wouldn't have been nearly as magical if I couldn't throw that can in his face, only for him to whip out a stun baton and chase me with it
That's what I love about Valve, they cover that shit so well, it makes the games so much deeper
@GnomeSlice Definitely. The first thing I did in Black Mesa was to Impulse 101 and senselessly murder everyone in every possible way. Because it was fun
> I think it was one of the Skyrim developers who said that the secret to their game (from the budget and production scale point of view) was that they actually sort of ignored the trolls. If someone wanted to screw up their experience – no problem. That’s why you have all these videos with people putting buckets on poor shopkeepers’ heads. The developer just didn’t care. It seemed to work for them just fine.
Or maybe a better question would be why can't I stop? I was invading Jovanus when they offered me a cease-fire. I am at war with 3-4 others, so being able to bring my forces to bear on other fronts seemed good. Yet my fleet won't move. I've given it orders several turns now and no dice. I'd think...
A friend and myself recently nailed down how to duo Roshan at level 1 using Ursa (with fury swipes) and Skeleton King (with vampiric aura). I've also witnessed an Ursa (fury swipes) and Lich (frost armor) managing to take down Roshan before the game started.
What other two hero/ability combinat...
