@ArdaXi It's supposed to be. I've only watched episode 1 myself. I just have no way of watching it outside of DLing the episodes. Otherwise I would have watched more of it.
Well, that was a brilliant episode (three-parter, cruel, I wanted to go to bed early last night) but it made me feel really bad to see the Doctor after a year had passed.
Yeah, but their is a DVD released as "The Specials" or something along those lines, which contains four the tenth doctor specials released between seasons 4 and 5
@FallenAngelEyes I reiterate that you sound like my brother. Although, now he has bought almost everything at the fishing shop that you can get without progressing too far into the Zephyran Ruins
Which is better than I, since I've only gone so far as to purchase a couple select items yet I'm in the end-game.
In my opinion it should be a comment, and I flagged it as such. Any answer that is "I think X because I couldn't find any information on it" isn't an answer.
> Although I appreciate the research you did, the wiki does contain some information. Furthermore, I really think you should convert this to a comment, not an answer.
Since I want to convey "I think isn't an answer"
but I don't want to say that, since it's fairly harsh.
@ArdaXi Sometimes the answer to a question is "It can't be done". Just like most people are willing to go further to prove that it can be done, it probably helps one's case to figure out why it is not solveable to propose such.
@GraceNote Well, yes, but just stating it like that doesn't add any factual information, only information on what the answerer thinks, and might stunt others' research.
Whether you say "<answer>" versus "I think <answer>", you're going to need good information to back it up either way in order to have an actual good answer.
@GraceNote I'm looking through some of those answers, and the posters have reasoning outside of just "I think". My issue with the answer I raised is not just that it was "I think", but as @ArdaXi said it was his entire answer. He did some research, but his research produced no information, so it didn't provide anything to back-up his claims.
I was just thinking about that actually, and you may be right.
But part of the problem is if you state "he is original to braid" without any sources, it's still not a good answer but (to me at least) it at least implies you have confidence in your answer. When you put "I think" in front, it's the same thing as saying "I'm not sure".
> Although I appreciate the research you did, the wiki does contain some information. Furthermore, I really think you should convert this to a comment, not an answer. You should be careful when posting an answer without any reasoning to back up your claim.
I have played through all the levels and challenges on the iPhone 4 version of Bloons TD4. I have only received 16 of 17 achievements, and the last achievement is not visible. Game center shows 1000 of 1000 points earned, and googling didn't turn up any answers, so I'll pass it to you, what is ...
I mean, for one they're list-of-x questions, and not really great ones at that. Each one has a really broad variety of answers that can pop up, and even more as time goes on.
It seems there's a lot of confusion on the subject. Perhaps we should have a Meta discussion to recount what our interpretations are and see what we think right now.
In this question, we softly addressed the acceptability of the subject. There's no contribution other than my own answer, and it's not exactly a very attended post, but build questions haven't really come up all that often since the start of the site.
Assuming for a moment that we're still okay ...
Also, I feel as though it would be more helpful if instead of asking for guides on other sites, the person was asking for us to make a guide through a series of questions.
@Wipqozn It was actually @Fallen's note yesterday about how telling people to not visit our site for something is weird that got me thinking that idea.
@Manaಠдಠ The problem here is it's all a little subjective. It's not always a bad thing to direct people to other resources. After all, SE is about making the internet a better place, right? We're here to supplement existing resources with our own knowledge and expertise, not necessarily replace them.
Hence why we can exist concurrently with GameFAQs.
Also we're uh, less obnoxious than the general audience of GameFAQs. >_>
@FallenAngelEyes I know. I was more saying that in this particular instance, there is an alternative to asking for guides, which is asking a series of questions, which, when taken together, act as a guide.
But yeah, I've never asked a guide/build question here myself because I was always under the impression that it would be too localized given the amount of variables, like I said in the comment on @Raven's answer. No one commented further, so...
There's nothing special about Chantelise other than the fact we're getting questions. We didn't try anything with Chantelise
As it were, the way things are turning are pretty much how I've expected the vast majority of games to be - if I look through the game tag, I'll basically be in the guide I want.
Competitive games have all the layers of strategy and counter strategy that compose their question yield, while other games, especially single player, should ideally follow this very construct.
@FallenAngelEyes Indeed it has, but it's worked out really well. If we make it a point to do this for future titles, I think it would draw a lot of visitors to the site. Plus like @GraceNote and @Mana have said, it would essentially create a guide.
It's of very little surprise to me that the two highest-viewed questions for chantelise are "How do I beat Volcanicrab" and "How do I beat the final boss?"
oh dear, my father has linked me and my sister to an article about some drug that would cause permanent sterilization when taken. The subject email was "Watch what you drink." A few lines below, in the original article, the blogger writes "Obviously this drug doesn't exist." ._.
Chemical castration is the administration of medication designed to reduce libido and sexual activity, usually in the hope of preventing rapists, child molesters and other sex offenders from repeating their crimes. Unlike surgical castration, where the testicles or ovaries are removed through an incision in the body, chemical castration does not actually castrate the person, nor is it a form of sterilization. For this reason the term "chemical castration" has been called a misnomer.
Chemical castration is generally considered reversible when treatment is discontinued, although permanent e...
"OMG THEY GONNA STERILIZE YOU THEN RAPE YOU AND THEN YOU WOULD WAKE UP AND FORGET ABOUT IT AND THEN YOU REMEMBER ABOUT IT AND THEY CAN'T FRAME ANYBODY BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO BABBY FORMED!!!! PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!"
I still hold strong to the theory @ArdaXi and @badp are secretly in love with each other. They do fight like an old married couple after all. I wonder...
I got to the world of Braid where you could reverse time by walking in a different direction. Then I gave up because it was giving me a splitting headache.
@Wipqozn I had an original Xbox 360 (first shipping) it lasted for 4.5 years and then I bought a slim. I used to leave it on for days at a time before I learned you can have a "turn off after 6 hour idle" option
(here we go again)
I was wondering if there was some tips I was missing for engineering, I don't know what, but I keep getting blown up by Demomen, good spys sap my stuff, arrgh.
Simply put:
