boot to desktop will help my steambox, but since it runs steam as shell installing 8.1 will likely cause more damage to my machine than things it improves

and since my main pc runs multiple monitors, the list of programs that start up on the 2nd and 3rd screen kills metro on boot anyway

so FAIL TO SEE THE IMPROVEMENT

you don't need a start button once you pin everything you use to the taskbar

but since I have 16gb of RAM, I just start everything I use on boot

when my PC boots up, I get Chrome, Skype, iTunes, HTC sync manager, Google Play, EVE Monitor, uTorrent, IRC, Steam, Origin, a variety of control panels for sound, graphics, etc

and from there I can start any game I have installed

Chrome opens up with all of my previous tabs, so that's 10-15 tabs at any given time
