wouldnt be surprised if they get sued in the EU or Australia. pretty sure this broke a number of consumer laws there

@Dragonrage not sure what consumer law here in Australia they could violate it. but in either case Sony is backtracking
> Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward.

We’re still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you updated on future plans.
and ofcause, the grifters come out
you did nothing. sit the fuck back down

@Dragonrage well, considering how it ended (read: Sony going back on their decision ) I guess their legal department noticed that changing a game post launch to that paying customers can no longer play it legally... does not exactly hold and is ground for a mass refund

@Memor-X I don't know what's worse: grifters like this or people posting posting porn under the trending topics
It is quite... Problematic to read the "For Democracy" trend on Twitter to gloat only to have femboy boner displayed prominently

17 days to Paper Mario 2 remake release.

@Memor-X STFU lol. clearly that decision was coming up from sony and Stallar Blade had no way to negociate. The CEO of Stellar Blade himself requested people review bomb their game to send the message to sony
So the only accountability you are looking for is a which hunt. That and/or you dont understand business
@SPArcheon I always find funny that theres one or multiple execs that push that kind of stupid decision on the studio. Like anybody connected to gaming could have told you this will go badly
And those execs are probably paid more than anybody in this room.

@Fredy31 If I am ever reborn, no more SharePoint for me.
I'll go Gawr Gura

1:19 PM
lol why is sharepoint catching strays here :p

@Fredy31 The Stellar Blade incident is a mess. I can't care less for fanservice, yet it makes me laugh how hypocritical the whole clownery is.
I am not going to post links or anything, first because obviously they would too be fanservice or blood due to the nature of the controversy, second.. I am lazy.
I can tell you a few things though.
- it is not one single outfit. It is at least two (or three if you consider the fact that a rogue tutorial apparently betrays another change). Conveniently, the other get almost no mention in most of the click bait gaming sites attacks to the players.
- apparently the character proportions are not the same in some outfits, which points to other "edits" done before the game went on sale. After all, it doesn't make much sense to think they made different body models for different outfits, does it?

Oh damn got a coffee problem
tought stellar blade was helldivers developer
I'm dumb

1:34 PM
- could not confirm it, but there are different sources stating that other details have been changed. For example, people stating that some lights that could identify some ruins as a dance club were removed. Again, reported by multiple players, never even mentioned by the game sites attacks (see Kotaku for example).

just because the og tweet was about both of them together lol

- the changed outfits, no way it is even believable that "it was the intended version, it is not censorship". Why? Because if you "intended" to have a black undershirt under a swimsuit, I expect it to be visible on the character back too, not only on the front. Yet... they forgot. In the same way, I expect that an added patch is not made with the magic stamp photoshop tool.
At the same time, it is quite weird since they apparently didn't even censored the "worse" outfits... so god knows what happened.
Alas, like I said, I am mostly quite amused by the double standard.
Stellar, too much gore, but permanent blood on weapons and armor is standard in recent Soul like and even hybrids like Dragon Age. Outfits too skimpy, but lets give Baldur's Gate players the ability to play the game without any clothes (seems awfully similar to removing the suit in Stellar Blade...).
so...
I am mostly eating popcorn and enjoying the two factions screaming at each other.
Memnor pointed out the petition guy being clickbait...
Can't disagree, but I don't think that the reviews containing free insults at gamers (not just Stellar gamer) aren't that better.
But yep, I totally expect censorship in games to be applied in the most nonsensical way most of the time. And preferably on Japanese anime games. Because reasons.
(see censoring the outfit of a character on the cover of a Nisa game I have, but not in the actual game for example)
BTW, I wonder if Mari in Eva caused backslash too or if by then the anime had already became "untouchable"

@Fredy31 yeh i got a bit confused there at the Review Bombing part
like i haddn't heard any of that from Stellar Blade

Hades 2 just dropped into early access

but Helldivers on the other hand
but yeh that was a few days ago before Sony reversed their decision

@Memor-X because it went mostly "If we bomb the game reviews then we damage the less censored game we have. Ok, let's cancel PSPlus subs instead"

Last night's dream, I was in a Portal chamber, and one of the turrets could re-activate itself even after I disabled it.
