In medical statistics, false positives and false negatives are concepts analogous to type I and type II errors in statistical hypothesis testing, where a positive result corresponds to rejecting the null hypothesis, and a negative result corresponds to not rejecting the null hypothesis. The terms are often used interchangeably, but there are differences in detail and interpretation. A false positive is distinct from overdiagnosis, and is also different from overtesting. == False positive error == A false positive error, or in short a false positive, commonly called a "false alarm", is a result...

This comment:
The major use case for Teams revolves around organizations where there aren't really enough contributors to justify having an enterprise instance, but the need to ask / answer questions using the Stack Overflow model is pretty clear. So, yeah - teams of 2 or 3 will work just fine as long as folks commit to using it, and make it a habit of getting knowledge out of email archives and into the site. This helps make sure there's always something to answer (or ask), and keeps people fed with stuff to do there. — Tim Post ♦ yesterday

@Tinkeringbell Yep, but don't roll. Ankle, hip, elbow, shoulder, let yourself fall sideways onto your front or back, then stay still.

@ArtOfCode Yeah, sideways is what was described to me as 'roll'

@Magisch Yeah, of course, but we have self-belay equipment not continuous belay like the customers - so, unlike them, we can come unattached.

@ArtOfCode stay still to not puncture your organs with fractured bones?

10:25 AM
@Magisch No, you have to wait until the co-workers have their cellphones out to take embarassing pictures of course XD

@Tinkeringbell "Okay, everyone got their pictures now? Can I get up?"

@Magisch Stay still just for any injuries. Keep still, make sure nothing hurts, then start checking yourself from bottom to top. Wiggle toes. Move feet. Bend knees. Sit up. Move arms. Turn head. If anything hurts you stop and lie back down, let your coworkers get to you.
It's good fun when you get confident kids, though, who want to see how fast they can do it. They're all "time me time me!". So you tell 'em how quick the instructors can do it and see if they can beat it.

@ArtOfCode That makes them sound almost cute ... :P

@Tinkeringbell Very occasionally, they are
The really little kids - 3-4 year olds - they're great. They don't know what fear is, so they just go do it and show their parents up.

I didn’t really think that we came to a conclusive decision on that issue

@angussidney I agree

@Mithrandir it's not exactly the sort of spam we are hoping to catch in bulk, looks like an honest user who hadn't seen the "how not to be a spammer" guidance and/or can't read

I wasn't around for the discussion but agree

Core's literally always been based on feedback :P

Remember.... subjectivity is not necessarily a bad thing

50 feedback is not a high bar these days though

@ArtOfCode we’ve had the ‘50 feedbacks thing’ for a while now, but I never really felt good with that either

@Mithrandir still tp for our purposes

@CalvT븃 it's 60 per 30 day period at the moment

Ah that's better

I have like 2700 all time or something

I always chose to defer from adding the role over that one, since I personally diagreed to it

On one hand, I can see the point about gamification. On the other hand, I would quite like at least some of the core system to be done automatically - it's useful having the system just do it for me without having to think.
IOW, happy to have some subjectivity in there, but preferably some of it should be encodable into requirements that I can code into metasmoke

So currently core needs two feedbacks a day

I can see both sides, I was surprised that I'd lost the core role though because I hadn't seen that pinned on the sidebar or anything. Normally I pop in at least to read the starboard.

Feedback's just the most obvious way to do an automated system, but there are probably others

Once all this meta action is over, can we reopen the issue and pin it to the sidebar to ask for more opinions?

@angussidney good plan

Do it now if you like :)

Last time there was really only 4 people discussing

@ArtOfCode nah, I don’t want it to get lost in all the current action. I’ll wait a day or 2 until we stop discussing more important stuff

I'm being followed around the internet by GoApe ads now... :P

Heh, this is why adblockers are useful

@Henders Get an adblocker...

Adblocker FTW!

I don't use one at work

@ArtOfCode Does metasmoke measure activity in charcoal HQ?

New metasmoke user 'resc' created

@Magisch nope
doesn't have a chat connection at all

Talking about chat.... and logins and stuff.... do we need to make an issue in our repo about changing our login method, or is it purely a CE issue?
