We should band together and choose someone to endorse for FoxPro on LinkedIn.
That would be amusing.
30 people suddenly endorse @FalconMomot for FoxPro.

@Wesley I will cut you.

The hell is wattpad.com and why is it the 25th largest website in the US by volume
I said I was going to go run and lift, but here I am.
Oh right, I'm digesting dinner. Yeah... that's it.
@MarkHenderson Answers.com is the #1 website by monthly traffic in Australia. WTF man. You people are sick.
The #2 website is a hidden profile, so you know it's pr0n

Bob
@Wesley wat
Hmm... should I at least be glad there's no mention of Yahoo Answers in there?

@Wesley measured by who?

@MarkHenderson Quantcast

2:22 AM

@Wesley I don't buy it
Top website would probably be ninemsn (default IE homepage) or google.com

@ewwhite At least they're driving slowly [you can see them speed up in the end] not that it makes it safe. Think it may have been chopper that posted a two wheeler vid where some guy's arm got ripped off in the wreck.

@jscott The wheel should have been spinning...

Millenials. Sigh.

you can back up contacts, music, photos, calendars and apps, but you can't back up virginity

2:31 AM
@strugee Eh. Sex is overrated. (Said every man whose not getting any)

heh

@MarkHenderson Your second kid will stop any action long after your wife recovers from birth
That must suck not be fun
@MarkHenderson Oh boy/girl?

@Jacob Grrrl
@Jacob I know. After Levi was born my wife was out of bounds until she finished breast feeding

@MarkHenderson Let me know if you need to borrow some hardware in 16 years...

@Jacob .. what kind of hardware?

2:37 AM
@MarkHenderson Things to scare of potential suitors?

@Jacob Oh
Nah I'm not that kind of a dad
I will teach my daughter to be frigid
3

@MarkHenderson You monster.

@MarkHenderson I had to look that one up

Okay, time to run like a bear is chasing me.

@Wesley What because you'll never get his wife now you're after his daughter?!?

2:44 AM
@MarkHenderson don't get it

@BigHomie One of the definitions is "abnormally averse to sexual intercourse —used especially of women "

@Jacob thnx, don't even wanna know how one would teach their daughter that

@BigHomie That's @MarkHenderson 's problem

> Matching Quote
"Men always fall for frigid women because they put on the best show."

Gah I can't wait to torrent on University internet again.
Sooo fast

Bob
2:47 AM
o.o

@Bob to what?

Bob
33 secs ago, by Jacob
Gah I can't wait to torrent on University internet again.

@Bob VVVVVVVVVPPPPPPNNNNNN
:)

@Jacob Do the college kids these days still to DC++?

@jscott never heard of it

2:50 AM
@MarkHenderson does it seem fair that you should get billed for traffic stopped at your perimeter firewall?

@BigHomie Raise them catholic and layer them with guilt 50mm thick

@Andrew The Transit provider still had to bring it to you.

@Andrew Hrm. Yes. Because your upstream provider had to carry the traffic regardless

@MarkHenderson That doesn't work as much as you might think.

@Jacob Well I'm not catholic so it probably wouldn't work anyway

2:51 AM
@MarkHenderson Oh, really?
partly sfw

@MarkHenderson so... should they be providing a firewall?

@BigHomie I've dated three girls from catholic school, and I married one of them
@Andrew If you want to pay them for it
p.s. why did you put "little" on the front of that search query?

@MarkHenderson I'm used to stereotypes, can't you tell?
;)
@MarkHenderson all jokes aside I have 2 myself so I hope the best for you

guys, I have a friend who thinks that you can SSH to a public IP address when you're in the private network that uses that public IP. (so you have a home network, everything's in a DMZ except one machine - he thinks you can send traffic to that machine from one of the computers in the DMZ, using the public IP)
prove 'im wrong

@strugee NATreflection

2:55 AM
@strugee hairpin NAT as Cisco calls it
NAT Reflection as PFSense calls it
@BigHomie Thanks
And don't worry I will not raise my daughter to be frigid. I will raise her to be smart.

@Jacob aaaaand my POS router doesn't have that

@strugee perhaps you don't mean DMZ when you say DMZ?

it just has an on/off switch

@FalconMomot DMZ on consumer router is opening all public ports to an internal IP

@FalconMomot no, I think I mean DMZ...
via NAT

2:58 AM
@MarkHenderson Well I'll probably tell mine what those boys really want, and probably tell them how I know

@BigHomie Yep
That will probably scare them right off boys

@strugee What you're thinking of as DMZ isn't actually DMZ

And either turn them into nuns or lesbians. I'm OK with either.

@MarkHenderson Well, I don't want that

@Jacob do elaborate

2:58 AM
@Jacob yes, with no isolation at all. I know. it's terrible misuse of the term... but it sounds like the man was talking about the inside network in general.

lol

@FalconMomot Geezus that DMZ shit. It's not a real DMZ
It's more like a fallback port forwarding rule

honestly if someone here says I'm wrong I'm not really going to argue

@MarkHenderson it's almost the opposite of the principle :P

@strugee I wish my wife would say that
3

2:59 AM
@strugee home networking stuff is made of broken.

@FalconMomot oh, of course. it's awful.

@strugee part of the reason is no configurability and term misuse ;)

Q: My Qwest router appears to not save configuration changes. How can I fix this?

strugeeI have a Qwest router. Specifically, I have the Actiontec Q1000. When I go to the configuration page, I can navigate fine, but whenever I submit a configuration change, it refuses to save. It says "saving changes" but when the page refreshes, nothing has actually changed. How can I save changes...

the thing doesn't work in anything but IE6
2
I cry when I use it

@Wesley Yes I did... One of my friends endorsed me for COBOL and XBOX. :P

3:01 AM
(disclaimer: you all didn't like that question)

@BigHomie huh
I don't like most of the things I read there
> You showed your daughter that you fundamentally don't trust her judgment about herself and her own feelings
OF COURSE YOU DONT TRUST HER JUDGEMENT> SHE IS !#. NO !# YEAR OLD HAS EVER MADE A GOOD CHOICE> EVER>

@MarkHenderson Exactly.

> You destroyed a friendship with this girl that your daughter highly valued
Tough fucking titties. She will get over it.
2

Must be new school friends parents.

> Wow, you really screwed up, sorry to say, it pains me to read what you did, i had to stop a few times, hopefully I didn't miss anything important, I believe I read it all. Big issues:

3:02 AM
amandanovaes, Florianópolis , Santa Catarina

Are these two the same person?

Screwed up? Puhlease

@EEAA it's a dude

@EEAA Negative
Unless they are using a proxy

@MarkHenderson I'm tellin you, new school.

@BigHomie Yup, figured that one out. :)

3:03 AM
> I wonder if your reaction to your daughter would REALLY have been the same if she'd confessed to dating a 17yo boy in an open relationship?

I can't hate, I get my parenting from a book too, 66 books actually lol

Yes, my reaction would be different. I would beat the shit out of any 17 year old boy who had interest in a 13 year old girl.

so you all have yet to tell me what a real DMZ is

@MarkHenderson I wouldn't, but I would scare him on a different path, you get arrested for that up here

is that where there's no routing at all from the un-DMZ'd host to the rest of the network?

3:05 AM
@strugee Its an area logically seperate from your internal network, where you have a deny all rule between servers inbetween your DMZ and your internal networks, and you only poke the minimum explicit holes between them that you need for functionality

@strugee A secured network that you setup to expose external services with limited ingress to your internal network.

It means if a DMZ server is compromised, your internal network stays secure

@MarkHenderson gotcha

@BigHomie Your answer has not been well accepted

@EEAA Doubtful, but I would not be surprised if they knew each other.

3:06 AM
@strugee There's one right above Korea

@RyanRies *south korea

@MarkHenderson The real Korea

@MichaelHampton It sure seems like they do. Too many interactions/coincidences.

@MarkHenderson that's the beauty of SE, net -10 votes, still net some rep, and don't have to compromise my beliefs, gotta love it
I think I got somewhere around 4 upvotes last I checked

@BigHomie I do think that the 13 year old has been manipulated by the sounds of it, but I wouldn't go as far as to say she's been deliberately turned lesbian. Kids are curious and confused at that age. It's a scary time for their brains.

3:07 AM
there's a star limit?

Day 2 of detox...

@MarkHenderson Oh, I didn't mean deliberately, I can't say that for sure, just the fact that it happened. She kissed a girl, got turned on, and thinks she likes girls. Slippery slope
@strugee 30

maaaaan

@BigHomie I get turned on when I kiss girls too
4

@strugee and @MarkHenderson tell me about it
CWIDT

3:09 AM
But in seriousness, I have a friend who when I met her was in a lesbian relationship. She was 16 and by the time she was 19 that relationsip was ended and she's been on a strict guy diet ever since

@MarkHenderson Yeah, but some never recover, and it happens younger and younger
I knew a dude into his big brother's pr0n stash @ 8/9, he saw some pretty sick stuff at that age

@BigHomie Oh yeah I had a friend liek that too. His brother was 16 years older than him and had some pretty fucked up porn
And he got into it at about the same age

@BigHomie Some aren't going to "recover". You can't recover from biology.
2

He was a bad egg though, when we were 15 we burnt down his porch by making fire bombs out of honey jars

hwg

3:13 AM
Anyhow I'm going to start P90x. It's been nice knowing all most some of you.

And on that note, I'm going to bed before I debate that until one of us passes out

I ahve no problems with my kid being gay. But to be getting into emotional and sexual relationships at 13? That's the real problem.

@BigHomie It will be you.
@MarkHenderson Yeah exactly

@Jacob Of course it will

Hell, 33 year old Scott wouldn't trust 20 year old Scott to be in an emotional relationship.

3:15 AM
@BigHomie Besides, my argument is pretty much an abstract anyway.

Or, more importantly, 33 year old Scott only trusts 23 year old Scott in emotional relationships because he made a pretty good decision.

@ScottPack 40 year old scott probably wouldn't trust 33 year old scott either

@Jacob I have no arguments dude, only scripture

@ScottPack Is that when you met {wife}
@BigHomie Your beliefs aren't going to change biology. Sexuality is determined by genes.

@MarkHenderson We'll see. The curve has flattened greatly.

3:17 AM
@Jacob Which genes are those?
@Jacob You referring to this?
Stop it

DON'T DO IT
Don't get into this discussion
Nobody will win, everyone will get angry
And y'all will just waste your energy

@BigHomie The exact ones, I don't know, but it doesn't matter.

yes please don't
@MarkHenderson kick 'em
or something

@strugee I'm not goign to kick them
They can discuss it if they really want to
Just giving some friendly advice

@MarkHenderson I don't want to start or win. I just want people to stop hating.

3:19 AM
yeah I know, I wouldn't kick them either. it's just so tiring to hear this argument

Considering how it started there's no way it can end well. It's just..tiring.
2

@Jacob hating on what?

I have a death scheduled that I really need to get to. P90X....

@MarkHenderson Trying to find context, but can't.

@BigHomie You used the term "recover" referring to homosexuality as it was a disease. Whether it's biological(which it is), psychological, or straight up choice( which it isn't all of the time). They're about as likely to recover as I am to my brain injury which is about zero.

3:25 AM
Oo

If you'd like to expand this further shoot me an email.

@Jacob Put your Nikes on. PUMP. IT. UP. and AIR. IT. OUT.

P90x is good.

3:27 AM
@JourneymanGeek It's a workout

Insanity is good to.
(Insanity the workout)

@Wesley Personal experience?

@Jacob or we can create another chat, your choice. MDMoore313@hotmail.com

@Jacob I looked into them all. built my own routine based on some of the things I learned just becuse I didn't want to buy anything.

As for religion and sexuality. Meh, let people be. My best friend from pre university is a gay chinese quaker transdude
5

3:29 AM
Know plenty of people who've used them.

@JourneymanGeek Your friend is a hiring managers dream.

Whatever you do, don't do crossfit. It'll bork your body.

@BigHomie You already have my GTalk my email is the same, I wouldn't mind another chat, but I really want to exercise first. I really do want to understand the "other" perspective though.

I know, we've got some crossfitters here.
@Jacob Go exercise now.
@MarkHenderson Kickban @Jacob

@scottpack would he be one minority or 4?

3:30 AM
I'm taking a breather between couch to 5k and arm day.

@JourneymanGeek Just keep checking those boxes.

@MarkHenderson Finally bumped up to week 2, day 1. I think it's harder for me because I run on an incline on purpose, and keep at a fairly steady running pace for the duration of each interval.
Either that or I'm a wimp.

@BigHomie Unless you'll be around in an hour or tomorrow?

@JourneymanGeek How's family things? =/

3:32 AM
@Wesley Hah fuck th eincline. If I ever job in real life and meet a hill I will be screwed

Better, grand out of hospital later today, and she's getting on everyone's nerves the right way :p

@Jacob yeah when I get to work of course. I'll gtalk you about it

@JourneymanGeek Bah! Well that's good

Stupid autocorrect

@JourneymanGeek When are you coming back to Singapore?

3:33 AM
It's gran not grand

Also, I've seen a couple of jobs based in Singapore that had remote positions. I was really interested in them. Maybe we could be roomies if I moved! =P

@JourneymanGeek Where are you now?

Tomorrow morning

Except one job wanted NixOS and Haskell experience, and I really didn't feel like genital torture so...

3:35 AM
@JourneymanGeek Hey, indulging in real Indian coffee while youre there?
Order double chicory for me.

... Chicory is evil

Chicory is a beautiful flower.

We have 2 kg of narasu's special blend. Aka, the reallllllllly good stuff
Chicory is used as a thickener. Also gives mom headaches
Pity we don

Is it bad that I just typed ip addr into a Windows command prompt?

'T roast our own anymore
The smell is glorious

3:39 AM
@Jacob no, it means that you use a real OS
now go kill your insides
get outta here

Man I am ruling the star wall today. And not all of them are offensive!

@MarkHenderson Not all of it :)

Oh hey @Jacob just FYI my son is with me at work atm using NetFlix over the VPN and the quality is way better than what I get at home
I HATE BIGPONDS ROUTING/PEERING

@MarkHenderson We'll look at buying Telstra routing in LA when the traffic warrants it

@Jacob Yeah yeah
Dont spend anything until you can justify it
But the routing from your Equinix server to LA wasn't great either

3:50 AM
@MarkHenderson Not my the routes on your island are terrible. Your government seems to have a STOP THE PACKETS policy.

@Jacob Not at all. I get great routes from work, but terrible routes from Bigpond

Good news is that iiNet offer peering at Equinix
Which would give good bandwidth between your Sydney and LA DC's

omg
Thomas the Tank Engine has American voices on Netflix!
They dubbed it!

> The guy on the left clearly did the kernel bit.
The dude in the middle has a cello and tattoo so he's clearly getting laid and therefor has never heard of Linux.
The guy on the right... well look at his hat and shoes... he's way too busy putting imitation carbon fiber parts on his Mitsubishi Lancer to have time for programming.
@MarkHenderson NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ringo Star or bust.

@Andrew I know, right!

Thomas & Friends (previously known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) is a children's television series about the engines and other characters working on the railways of the Island of Sodor, and is based on The Railway Series books written by the Rev. W. Awdry. This article list all of the narrators, past and present, of the English-language version of Thomas & Friends. The role of the narrators dates back to the first series. Britt Allcroft thought it essential to convey the episode as a story that would be read from a book at home. Narrators File:Ringo Starr and a fan backstage ...

Man there are wikipedia articles on everything
Man Thomas the Tank Engine is fucking useless. He can't be bothered pulling all of his passengers so he's dumping his VIPs at random places on Sodor to lighten the load

@Andrew Meh. APNIC ran out years ago

Bob
@Andrew I'm more surprised Akamai apparently needs four million addresses.

4:42 AM
@Bob They're only the biggest CDN in the world.

@MichaelHampton Yeah but... 4 million?

@MarkHenderson Yes, I can see that being justifiable.
