Q: How to make one pdf from many pdfs where their filename are also shown in the one pdf?

alhelalI have a directory named Titlepage where the files(minimum 10 pdf) are titlepage_1.pdf,titlepage_2.pdf,titlepage_3.pdf... . Each are one page pdf. This directory also hosted in Github so that people can download the title pages easily. The Github directory contains corresponding LaTeX file al...

@cfr I deleted all my comments because, comprehensibly, Henri Menke was bored about them. However, I stay on my idea. Now I understand why Christian deleted his answer: tex.meta.stackexchange.com/a/7333/101651. I won't broach the subject anymore since I don't want to be considered a childish idiot.

@alhelal you should be able to do this in LaTeX, if that's what you're asking.

@yo' oooh
@yo' you can't break English, it's infinitely flexible. If you want to insert some random Latin word endings that's fine.
@DavidCarlisle ooh non sequitur
@PauloCereda É ainda mais fácil entender o latim que o português

@HaraldHanche-Olsen do you ever get a feeling of déjà vu in this chat room?
09:51
@DavidCarlisle Don't forget the Doodle poll ;)
10:19
@JosephWright how could I forget:-)
10:38
Here is a little conundrum for those in chat. I've just been given a manuscript to edit and in it interestingly \dots no longer works as normal, for example $A+\dots+B$ gives the same as $A+\ldots+B$. Before I dive into the various packages the user have been using since last I looked at parts of this manuscript, what is you bet on a package that may change the category of things like +-\cdot so they are no longer binaries?
yo'
yo'
10:50
@daleif Have you tried removing the + and writing it yourself? Could be that the + is some unicode rubbish
@daleif Russian?
@daleif I have seen + made math-active so it can split as + on both lines, but is it that or has \dots been redefined, what does \show \dots show?
11:06
@yo' not utf8 rubbish, it is somewhere in his preamble
Found it, hmm, I think this used to work, I'll check an earlier TL before I post an MWE
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{amsmath}
\usepackage{ellipsis}
\begin{document}
\[
A + \dots + B
\]
\end{document}
@daleif this give ldots already in TL13.
11:26
@UlrikeFischer that explains a lot because the last time I touched parts of this manuscript was in 2012 (it's a new book based on parts of the old one).
11:42
@UlrikeFischer If I have, say 5 math fonts installed, that I use rather regularly, and typeset commutative diagrams frequently, do you think it would make sense to write a small package that automatically adjusts the values for the arrows?
yo'
yo'
11:59
@UlrikeFischer I was sure I've had all TLs back to 2010, but they seem to be gone :-/
@daleif I get the same with TL'09 onwards
@daleif I get it with tl12 too, I don't have an older system.
@JohnDorian Sure, if you invest the time to get the values it would make sense to make them available for the community. You could ask the tikz-cd author to include them.
12:43
@mickep I haven't had the time to look but I suspected already that Hans didn't address the real issue. You don't have a general italic correction problem but only at the boundary between math and text. Side remark: I would like it if you could remove some unneeded text when answering on the context list. Hans' signature is long enough, I don't need to see it twice or more...
12:55
@JosephWright strange, I just looked in my printed copy, there +\dots+ are ok. Nevermind, I've banished the ellipsis package from the project
@UlrikeFischer Oh, I thought that "good style" was to include everything and reply below the other emails on the list. I will reconsider that.
13:11
@daleif I went back as far as TL2008, the dots are always low. The fault is obviously on ellipsis.
@egreg thanks, then I'm not sure what we did to the sources to actually make them work. Again never mind, and yes, perhaps someone should update ellipsis
@daleif The problem is that ellipsis reinstates at begin document the kernel definition of \dots, so removing the redefinition done by amsmath. I'm not sure why it does so, I see no reason to.

The first steps towards an asymptote duck. ;)
I have a problem with fonts similar to this one, but unfortunately I can't run sudo updmap-sys, since I don't have sudo on my system
@marmot 3D(uck)
15:27
@Turion you only need sudo to do the update if the original installation was installed in that way. If it was installed such that you have write access then you can call uptmap-sys directly
@samcarter ... now you see why I started stealing the coordinates from your nice package...
@samcarter but that's not a rabbit. That looks like a brown duckling!
16:12
Nice, found another deficiency in kpfonts (\big( is another the jump from ( is too high)
\documentclass{memoir}
\usepackage{amsmath,siunitx}
\usepackage{kpfonts}
\begin{document}
\begin{equation*}
\num{0,12}
\overbrace{2857}
\overbrace{2857}
\overbrace{2857}
\overbrace{2857}
\dots
\end{equation*}
\end{document}
And without kpfonts

As English is not my mother tongue, I have this important question: Is it ok to say "uncle canard" or should it be "aunt canard"?
Sep 5 '17 at 17:21, by Harald Hanche-Olsen
Inspector Canardo is a comics series created by the Belgian artist Benoît Sokal. He was named after the French noun canard, which means "duck" or "drake". == History == Sokal created the character Inspector Canardo after graduating from Institut Saint-Luc, at the age of 20. He first drew his comics for the magazine À Suivre but after the comic became popular, they were published as albums by Casterman. == Characters == === Canardo === The eponymous character and the protagonist of the series, Canardo is an anthropomorphic strange duck who has a career as a private investigator. While...
@Skillmon Here is one possible answer ↑↑
@HaraldHanche-Olsen Then I'm lucky and don't have to release a new version of duckuments :)
16:45
@Skillmon Will the BBC produce a nature duckumentary narrated by Ducky Attenborough?
17:20
@Skillmon depends if it's a mail or female duck
@Skillmon I suspect for English speakers neither will resonate, but sound-wise, I would go with Uncle Canard I guess. Educated English speakers will know 'canard' to mean an unfounded rumour, though.
17:41
@AlanMunn Or those small winglets you find on the forward section of some fighter planes. (Um, that is not in my dictionary.)

@HaraldHanche-Olsen -- or on the small "private" aircraft like those designed by burt rutan.

I want to write "Supermänner und -Frauen". This is quite common in German. However, TeX breaks the line between the hyphen and "Frauen". How can I prevent this?

Perhaps. :)
@JohnDorian with babel + ngerman "~
@UlrikeFischer ah nonbreaking space. :)
@UlrikeFischer Thank you :-)
@JohnDorian but I would write "~frauen and not in uppercase.
19:15
@UlrikeFischer Yes of course.

@barbarabeeton Totally. And totally weird and unexpected.
