2:00 PM
Baba Wawa's Bubby?

Baba ji ki Jai. !!!

manshu knows what I mean, but he hasn't answered it well, yet :P

No i dont know
I just searched it
"Prince Ali - mighty is he - Ali Ababwa Strong as ten regular men definitely" lyrics of a song

Yeah, it's Aladdin's fake name, as a fake Prince =D
A.K.A. Ali Abooboo
per Jafar.
As mentioned, previously, I don't forget much about Disney movies that I've watched, in the past. :P
Especially Aladdin

this is the second time in the last few days that I've gotten a song from Aladdin stuck in my head
for completely different reasons each time

2:03 PM
hahaha
It's okay, q_a

listen to the sonata.

I can show you the world.
Really though - You've Never Had a Friend Like Me.

no the other one was the gotta-steal-to-eat, gotta-eat-to-live song

gotta-steal-to-eat, gotta-eat-to-live, otherwise we'd get along

a close up look...

2:04 PM
"WRONG!"
Rifraff. Street Rat.
I don't buy that.

I haven't seen that movie in more than 20 years, and yet I remember all the lyrics from those songs

If only they'd look closer..
Would they see a poor boy...
No, sirree.

They'd find out...
There's so much more to me..
Me, too

ok, manshu, now i'm too scared to ask how much you'd mind losing 55 points if i delete the Peach Puff Pink question, if you even remember it? i'd gladly make it up with a bounty THANKS, BUT IT WON't LET ME! says i have to get a moderator to do it... my life's newe mission

actually... some disney lyrics I remember because my younger brother had those disney singalong tapes

I won't mind.
And I remember

2:06 PM
but mary poppins? all those lyrics I know because I've watched that movie somewhere near a trillion times.

Yeah, that's why I remember a few "Wee Sing Silly Songs"

the question about favorites

I watched that like once, hehe.

mary poppins owns

I could go for a spoonful of sugar, right about now.
damn it...
Now I have "Funk Soul Brother" stuck in my head.

2:06 PM
ACTUALLY, the title is
haha

yeah, I've never known the title
It was just something that our show choir sang, often.

wait, your show choir sang a fatboy slim song

that is the title, hah
Among many other things
Our choir director was awesome.
It was actually REALLY disappointing, my first year of college..
I went into the choir there, and they wanted us to perform with our sheet music...
After my director, in HS, I felt like I was being downgraded, dramatically. "SHEET MUSIC!? On stage?!"
We had to ...you know...LEARN the music.

hahaha

Especially since I was in a Madrigal choir.
Can you imagine a playscript in everyone's hand during a madrigal play? groan

2:09 PM
yeah, I'm trying to think... I feel like my church choirs always (or almost always) used music, but the school choir I was in didn't

/rant
I'll admit to reading the screen, for lyrics, at church, even though I know the music
But no one on stage does

I wasn't in our show choir, I was one rung below that - so we still did the competitions and stuff, I just didn't have to dance

I had recently had knee surgery on both knees
So I wasn't agile enough for show choir.

But Madrigals and Show were the two varsity choirs.

2:11 PM
sorry that's one of those things that hurts to hear about

Yeah, I can still barely move, 20'ish years later.

D:

yeah, we had a regular choir for 9th and 10th graders, I wasn't in that, and then a audition-only choir for 11th and 12th grade, which I was in. the show choir was made up of the best people from that choir

Same here - I switched to choir, in 9th grade, because i had absolutely no interest in marching.. lol
And I'm so glad that I did

2:12 PM
I think they also had a non-audition choir for 11th and 12th grade, like if you just really wanted to be in choir but didn't make the cut, but I can't remember for sure
haha yeah

Yeah, the fine arts division, of my HS, got the funding - sports came second.

I was in our non-marching band during marching season, and then in the top audition band outside of marching season
lol, same here

Look up at the user listing, for the channel.
Manshu's avatar is yelling at humn's

I tried out for marching band one year, but I suuuuuuucked at it (mostly I sucked at memorizing the moves, I could play and move just fine)
haha

Anyone working on

Q: The boredom of Mr. Goldy

RiddlerNewComer"Today is a lame day," stated Mr. Goldy. Indeed, this poor lonely man is quite alone as he lost his brother years ago. This was a terrible time for him. His brother was very important in his life, being his only friend. To kill time, Mr. Goldy decided to watch some TV. "Bah, not this new Music c...

2:14 PM
Yeah, we were looking at it, a bit ago

but I'm glad I didn't make the cut - those drums are heavy as hell

Haven't found much to go on

Hiay,Chris, we've (q_a and i) been copyediting it at least, want to take a turn before K_K?

I'm thinking Bruce Springsteen, But that's just a gut feeling.

who is he?

2:16 PM
A song mentioning war, possibly cops and robbers, possibly... cloud? muscles?

how come, Chris?
Or just what you get from reading it?

and yeah, it would have to be a song from several years ago, at least

Clarence Clemons was called "The Big Man"

Sigh

Q: How many children are there?

S.LAKSHMINARAYANThere are some children on a school ground, a square has been drawn and all children are standing on a squares four lines, they are standing with same distance, four children are standing on a four corners. No 16 is exactly opposite of No 6. How many children are there?

Another puzzle about to be closed.

War and River are both BS songs.

2:17 PM
@Khale_Kitha That's that guy who's been evading a ban

Yeah

what I don't get it
How does he keep signing up with THE SAME EXACT NAME
and avatar

He is a rebel

like. put some effort into your grift, people!

And he has 100 rep on the Hindu site

2:18 PM
fool me once, shame on you. attempt to fool me several more times without changing a single thing about your approach, also shame on you.

shame on him even more. :p

you almost got the George Bush quote right
3

fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, everybody plays the fool

fooificate me once.
Sorry, I'm channeling a comedian on my pandora list....though I can't remember his name

2:19 PM
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

fool me once, this ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin around

Zats the one, Chris!

hah
And I was thinking of "Frank Calliendo"

(Had to phone a friend)

2:20 PM
SPEAKING OF SONGS MENTIONING WAR

Now that Trump is in play, I miss the nuanced intellect of George W Bush.
2

=D
Hey, he knew what he meant to say, at least.
he just...didn't always get it out, in words.

@Solocutor Why did you delete the answer?

@manshu probably because that puzzle will be deleted soon?

I'm sorry...l
This is the oddest comment I've read, all week.
"bad video mix-up -> anagram of "bad video"?"

2:23 PM
OK so the song I just serendipitously quoted doesn't work for the puzzle

hhhaha

I know what he means, but the wording confused the heck out of me, at first, hahaha

yeah
the comment does make sense, just ... not at first haha

hehe
I'm wanting to say "Sir Mix-a-lot" for the puzzle, because of the first line, but I know nothing about the man's bio.

I feel like that puzzle is meant a lot more straightforwardly than that

2:25 PM
Still looking at the Gordy one, but just not having any luck with anything.
That seems about as straight-forward as it gets
"bad video mix gave me my name"

I get the feeling that that one might be one of those where the answer is like "the cray supercomputer" or something

lol

not that specific thing, but just like, surprise! it's not actually a biography

@ChrisCudmore Am I the only one one having an issue with someone buff, and muscular, being called "The Cloud"?
Hopefully, q_a

I think it's strange, but I can kind of see a buff dude being considered like a cloud

2:27 PM
manshu, message for you along the right margin under your icon (^^^^ and why isn't it "The Cloud", like "Big Daddy"?)

I mean, it's a stretch, but I can see it
buuuuuuuuuuut, it could also be related to whatever the word in the song is

LoL, I ranted at my wife, yesterday, because she was finding it amusing that a coworker was complaining about being in florida and seeing tons of people who "didn't lift" wearing cutoff sleeves.

haha
bro do u even

I'm like - "Seriously? Does that mean I'm not allowed to wear a sleeveless shirt, because this arrogant guy says so?"
That was actually what he said

hahahaha

2:28 PM
"All these cut off sleeve shirts - it's like bro do u even lift?"

wow
that's one of those things I could barely believe people even said back when it was a thing

Yeah, it's kind of like
Y U NO
q_a and KK slowly look at Manshu

yes, manshu
why DO you no

oh wait.. I need to go star Chris's comment, so I don't forget =D

now I've got life during wartime stuck in my head

2:31 PM
not familiar
Though I know a few people with life during wartime stuck in their life...

it was the song I was referencing upthread, "this ain't no party / this ain't no disco / this ain't no foolin around"

Ah, I don't think I'm familiar with it

when I was riffing on "fool me once..."

such a funny word..

but I double-checked the lyrics, I don't think it works for the goldy one

2:32 PM
Also, how do you say "such a funny word", without sounding stoned....?

goldy doesn't seem like a talking heads fan anyway
my hands...
they can touch anything... but themselves

rofl!
Hey, no joking, I can clap, one-handed.
I always find that cliché amusing

that's a joke that got used on either the simpsons and futurama or on futurama twice

ah
Those shows were good for jokes that got you Groening.

2:33 PM
.... like that one ^^

only, that is, only my only nose itself smells itself only

=D
only my only nose only itself only smells only itself only
only is going to be a joke, from now on..only

haha
OK so...

email

I'm betting that whatever the song is, it doesn't involve a muscular guy being called a cloud

2:35 PM
This FIB crew sucks. No activity in days.
=D

maybe something about being in the sky? in heaven?
yeah

Chris already gave her up, for dead./

should probably get the a-team on this

Don't make me rename the channel to FIB Technical Team

they seem like they'd be a little more committed to the cause
or, like I said, if it's karen allen, I know a certain archaeology professor who might be able to help

2:36 PM
Just had to stop myself from a comment that would have given away the puzzle. LoL

he's gotta be like 100 years old by now though

donald sutherland?

hey - what decides where the dashed line shows up? is it every X lines?

that's where you tear the paper, odd, i only see the two near ones

@humn I was thinking of a certain adventurer known for his whip

2:38 PM
which dashed line?

wipn
i see 2 dotty lines, about 8 and 13 cookies up, do yq_au?

I don't think Indie has the skillset for it
Unless you meant Simon Belmont :P

yeah, good point - I don't see any prior

what are you looking at, currently?
gordy?
wth...

@Khale_Kitha I didn't know who that was without googling

2:40 PM
hehe

@Khale_Kitha re: dashed lines - I mean in the chat

Oh, I think it's time segments
but maybe not
they fade out after the 2nd one

there seems to be neither rhyme nor reason
man
I love that mr goldy story

hehe

I love that it's so melodramatic BUT it opens with "today is a lame day"
like a teen who just wiped out on his skateboard
"this is not rad at ALL, mom"

2:41 PM
wth is Bop-It?

didn't touch that line

That was the answer to the Shyamalan puzzle

OH, I get it now
that makes sense

I vaguely remember that thing
It was popular for like 2 weeks.

the ads for it were like
"twist it! flick it!" etc

2:43 PM
Yeah - though I tend not to remember much from ads 20 years ago =D

yeah
I only remember it because - get this - people on twitter made reference to it

lol

people remembered the 90s HARD a few years ago on twitter

From the wiki page, it apparently came back in 2010

a bunch of stuff that I had totally forgotten even exists came rushing back to me

2:46 PM
like Savage Garden?
Heheheh

hahahaha you know what?
I don't know if I can name a single SG song
I can picture the cover of their one album

I started paying attention to what songs were from what artists around 2000, so I can't name the songs, of an artist, for many things prior to that.

@question_asker I just went to the wiki, saw the list of #1 hits and still don't know what you're talking about.

they were one of those bands where like, I know I've heard their most popular song(s), but I couldn't name the songs, and wouldn't know that I was hearing the songs unless someone told me
We're so old, KK

2:48 PM
But I'm old. I bought Iron Maiden on vinyl when vinyl was your only choice.

( Chris, q_a's other lead, Bop-It, also bore bitter fruit: youtube.com/watch?v=8lhEEDkv3zk )

lol, Chris

I wasn't trying to exclude you!
be old with us

I still have a decent collection of 45's, but they were all given to me by my mother.

My first album was Supertramp, Breakfast in America. EVERYONE in grade 5 had that album.

2:49 PM
I have things like...
Easy Rider...
Peter Pan....
Squirrely and Shirley..
etc

Then Rush, Moving Pictures came out and changed everything.

"this music is so complicated I don't care if I never get laid!"

vvvvvv hehehehehe ^^^^^^^^^

Delete 1 word from Chris's sentence, and he becomes MUCH older.

lol
I don't think anyone in my family had any comedy albums

2:51 PM
Tennessee Bird Walk is one that I remember best.
If you haven't heard it..

We'd be sitting around the classroom beating out the intro to YYZ on our desks.

Of course, this was in Toronto, so it held special meaning for us.

ah yeah
that's a reasonable excuse for liking rush
as long as it didn't convince you to start reading ayn rand

Sorry, listening to birds walking southward in their dirty underwear...

2:53 PM
I got about 4 pages into Atlas Shrugged at about 20, and thought "This is BS!"

hahaha

chirp chirp
I'm going to have this stuck in my head, all day...

it should've been on dr. demento

HAHAHA

That was when I was reading books because I thought I should. Everyone goes through that phase, and picks up Dostoevsky and Joyce.

2:55 PM
I was trying to think of the rhythm of the beginning of YYZ and all I could think of was the beginning of Bulls on Parade until I looked up the song and saw the morse code

the Cliff's Notes for Crime & Punishment were shorter than the book, by about 2,000 pages

let me guess - YYZ?
aren't they supposed to be, humn?

-.--/-.--/--..

Brothers Karamazov was about 1200 pages, I read it on the bus religiously for about six months. Got 900 pages into it, and lost the book.

looks like probably YYZ to me

2:56 PM
It is.

Mr. Goldy is YYZ? not a single unmatched lyric

haha
re: long books

Never picked it up again.

I read the first four books of In Search of Lost Time about ten years ago

Man those russians can ramble on.

2:57 PM
but I liked the particular set of translations I was reading so much that I have to wait until 2019 to get the rest
naturally I've forgotten most of what I've read about tea and calling cards and closeted french nobles

Is funny - my favorite book series, the books are all 900+ pages, but they take me about 2-3 nights to read o.O

oh no, q_a, lost 10 minutes right now just to find out what In Search of Lost
Time is

            ^^ Lost

(re: rush - one of the few facts I know about rush I learned from Trailer Park Boys)
