@John Technically, the correct gender neutral, as opposed to non-gendered, pronoun is zer or hir (both are acceptable, though I've found hir to be more widely used personally.)
I actually originally thought about using that pronoun for the entire blog post but then I decided I'd have more fun alternating (that, and people would raise less eyebrows)
So I have a server running the standard, unmodified Vanilla server on a Linux box. After talking to the people on the server we have decided that moving to a Bukkit Server would be better because of the awesome plugins. However it seems that Minecraft generates nether and "overworld" files differ...
