Dang. Could you try with just the lzcnt?

You should probably change the %llu back to %d, to get rid of the extraneous warnings
That was on my laptop, not the computer I've been running everything on

My processor supports all of those instructions

Ah, OK.

(popcnt and lzcnt)

5:03 AM
It should be llu. I'm probably missing the includes...

And bzhi

Revised.

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

lirtosiastYahtzee Small Straight Detection In the game Yahtzee, players roll five six-sided dice, and attempt to create certain hands to score points. One such hand is a small straight: four consecutive numbers, not necessarily in order. The three possible small straights are 1, 2, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 3...

@Dennis +1 for using spaces, -0.5 for using 8 spaces

segfaulting my laptop but compiling.

5:09 AM
OK, my CPU supports lzcnt, but neither popcnt nor bextr/bzhi.

I'll let you know what happens on my desktop when I run it later

Segfaulting? Did you pass an argument to the program?

Hah nope

@AlexA. My terminal displays tabs as 8 spaces.

Anonymous
I'm still getting the segfault on the printf

5:10 AM
Illegal instruction

Try removing them one by one.

Anonymous
There's probably an easier way to do this

@Dennis +1 to your terminal for displaying tabs as spaces

I'll do that on my desktop. No point on doing it on my laptop

TIL: the Circle K down the street has a not-great selection of alcohol. Now, to find out what Guinness Extra Stout is all about...

5:11 AM
@Liam could just tell us his processor model.. then there would be no need for all this detective-ing :P

Is all this going to make your code run in negative time?
The model is in the question

Anonymous
@feersum AMD FX-6300

AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor.

Get an intel and it might run in negative time.

I'm not made of money

5:12 AM
Too bad. It seems nobody I know is...

Anonymous
It doesn't have BMI2 support, so that code won't work

TIL: Guinness extra stout tastes exactly like Guinness regular stout :/

My flesh consists entirely of dollar bills, but if I were to spend them then I would die.

@Liam OK. The important one is popcnt though, since not even my latest revision will work properly without it... According to this your CPU should support lzcnt, popcnt and bextr.

So while I may be made of money, I can't afford to give away my flesh.
@Egobits I could have told you that. :P (But IMO most stouts taste pretty much the same. I'm more of an IPA guy.)

5:14 AM

Can't you at least collect the ones that fall off?

I don't shed my moneyskin

@AlexA. I generally prefer stouts. I was just hoping this would be at least slightly different to justify the extra dollar.

@Egobits The extra dollar is to offset the cost of printing Extra on the outside.

I'm not much of a beer guy at all

5:16 AM
ಠ_ಠ

Anonymous
I've only had one kind of beer that I didn't dislike (Dragons Milk)

That sounds like dairy, not beer

Anonymous
I prefer liquor and wine

To be honest, I'm not either. I drink stouts, and sometimes an IPA, but most is terrible. I'd prefer a good mixed drink.

Anonymous
5:17 AM
Even then, I don't drink Dragon's Milk except in Peacemakers

Unfortunately, Circle K has this "no liquor" policy for some reason :(

I like beer quite a bit but I also like wine and some liquor. Most of the time I drink the liquor straight rather than in mixed drinks though.

Crown and ginger ale is the shit though.

@Egobits The Pacific Northwest is IPA paradise.

Anonymous
I like liquor mixed more than I like straight liquor, but there are some cases where I'm perfectly fine with the straight liquor, like Jameson

5:18 AM
I like beer, red wine (mixed) and tequila (straight).

@AlexA. It really is. I learned that in the week I was in Seattle and the couple weeks I was in Alaska :)
@Dennis What do you like your wine mixed with?

Anonymous
As for wine, I haven't tried a lot of it, but I've learned that I like Roscato and Cabernet

Also, tequila shots ftw.

@Egobits As pro-Washington as I am, I have to concede that Oregon makes some incredible IPAs.

Anonymous
I have done exactly one tequila shot. It was back in college. Bad decisions followed.

5:19 AM
@Egobits Coca Cola.

@Dennis You mix red wine and Coke? o_O
I've never heard of that

@Dennis Really? I never would have thought of that. Any particular red that goes best?

I'm not going to lie, that sounds crazy weird

Anonymous
^

It's pretty common here.

5:20 AM
Huh. TIL

Anonymous
I can't imagine that being good. Granted, I don't drink sodas (outside of occasionally mixing them with liquor)

Now I want some wine and coke (no, not cocaine).

I don't even like sodas mixed with liquor.

@Egobits I like Santa Helena.

Anonymous
Dr. Pepper and Maker's Mark is pretty damn good

5:20 AM
@Egobits Minibits is at grandma's... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@AlexA. The only store within walking distance sucks and has no wine, as I recently found out.

@Dennis Do you have a preferred "agedness" of tequila? I like blanco, the least aged one.

And I'm not quite stupid enough to drive right now.

@AlexA. I prefer reposado.

I like my tequila with caramel food coloring in it
#classy

5:22 AM
@Mego Truth is being spoken.

@Mego Dr. Pepper and Marky Mark

I need to find a new playlist. Sugar Ray just came on :/

Perhaps I can be of assistance. Genre?

mid-to-late 90s alternative to early 2000s
grunge is also acceptable

Oh, no wonder you got Sugar Ray :P

5:24 AM
I started on BNL for some reason, so I really shouldn't be surprised.

I actually don't think I've heard them since the early 2000s. O_O

Oh right, it was because I wanted to hear the alcohol song.

@Egobits Matrix soundtrack

Welcome!

Especially because I'm desparate. Smash Mouth came on after Sugar Ray.

What do you have against All Star?

Sounds too much like Linkin Park now for some reason.

Holy hell, Powerman 5000.

wat
This early 2000s gem came on while my girlfriend and I were waiting for a table for dinner.

5:31 AM
@AlexA. I learned the lead guitar part to this while in Kuwait. Wonder if I can still do it...?

:)

You have no idea how glad I was to find out my guitar would just fit in my duffel :)

I can imagine!

I also tried learning the harmonica while deployed (on a couple occasions). I have no idea how people can play that thing.

This is another good one from the early 2000s. I learned the intro to this on the guitar a long time ago but I definitely don't remember it at this point.

5:34 AM
Oh that one isn't very hard at all ;)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of my favorite Incubus songs, too.

Very nice. How about this one from a bit earlier? youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ

Anonymous
@Egobits flags as ಠ_ಠ

5:38 AM
What?? It's a good song.

Anonymous
Everyone should know XcQ is bad by now

@Egobits it actually is
Sometimes when I get rickrolled I just listen to the song.

I had that f***ing song stuck in my head the whole morning.
It's far too catchy.

Toxically catchy

I can play it on at least two instruments, and could probably figure out the keyboard part by ear :/
There's nothing better than rickrolling someone with a penny whistle.
The look on their face is just priceless when they figure out what song you're playing.

5:41 AM

Geez. Learn title case, spambots.
@Mego This playlist is reminding me more of Twisted Metal 2 than The Matrix. This is a good thing.

Oh, now that one is super easy to play. Fun, too :D
Power chords as far as the eye can see.

Hm, maybe this should be the next rickroll.
My girlfriend in the background: "Oh my GOD, STOP with the SMASH MOUTH."

5:49 AM
Give it another five years. Then the world will be ready.
@AlexA. She sounds like a keeper ;)

Haha yes, but not just because she can't stand more than a minute at a time of Smash Mouth. :P

Funny, my gf sings poorly with me at the top of her lungs when Smash Mouth comes on

> my gf sings poorly

Anonymous
Granted, she's asthmatic, so the top of her lungs is not very high, but still

Oooooh rekt

5:51 AM
@Mego That's also an acceptable response, oddly enough.

^

Anonymous
@AlexA. I mean we both sing poorly and loudly to it

I know

I can neither confirm nor deny that I do that also.

I just needed an excuse for a rekt

Anonymous
5:52 AM
You're an excuse for a rekt

@AlexA. It has been an hour or so since the last one.

oh shit

Do I hear Smash Mouth because you just got shrek't

I love it.

You know what you need in your mix? Foo Fighters

I've got foo fighters in the car.
Actually, I have a really weird mix of old and new in the car. I blame my kid for the new stuff.

It's oddly satisfying when Imagine Dragons follows Nirvana.

Imagine Dragons is pretty good

My gf likes trying to turn on 21 Pilots. She gets a strong ಠ_ಠ from me

The Blue October in the mix is my fault, though.

Anonymous
That does sound like a terrible mistake

5:58 AM
It was an interesting time in my life >_>

@Mego I LOL'd

Anonymous
Whenever I hear Blue October, I sing along in the most whiny, annoying voice possible until it goes away

Same with Linkin Park's whinier songs

Linkin Park definitely has some whiners.

Some of their stuff is pretty good, though
