i think there's a distinction. one is "why did it happen" the other is "the actual question"

if it's intel...my answer is it'll be fixed in a year or two. otherwise it's "use blob and get a current mainline(not new or old) card"

My Windows installation just died as I have replaced all copies of java*.exe on my much hated Windows system with a small utility that loads a driver to call keBugCheck() and a reason code corresponding to "Crappy operating System: BIOS denied execution"
