See, i'd be more of a "simply new $projectname" type thing, where it then asks a series of questions like what language, and then what kind of templating system (or whatever), and then what test framework you want.
@jrg under configuration, i'm trying to put in "command that does action X" that way you could add empty templates and populate them (read as easily extensible). a cli interface would be simple enough the way i'm trying to put it together. it would basically be simply project action param
this way, if i make python, git, and ppa...someone that like bizarre things could add bzr quite easily, and someone that wants ruby could do that quite easily too.

So this is weird, I also decided to remove Lubuntu and xubuntu in trade of gnome... but they're still there... and it also says when I try to remove them that they're not installed. I still get errors...
heh. i consider it a scripting language bordering on programming...but i'm sure some people disagree. anything that interfaces with native code directly is a programming language. otherwise it's a scripting language

@Flabricorn If you just removed the metapackages (xubuntu-desktop and lubuntu-desktop), that will not generally remove Xfce and LXDE and accompanying apps, even with sudo apt-get autoremove (though that occasionally works). See Getting Back to a Pure Unity Gnome on Ubuntu.
@EliahKagan I'm pretty sure we have one, but it's broken up into a thousand questions (by a user i won't call out by name, but it's one guy). we should have a single answer that is "I borked my DE. I want ubuntu-desktop back"

I wanted to switch to xfce (I had kde and gnome installed), and I did this :
sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get autoremove
but to my surprise, I could still pick gnome, kde plasma, etc during the log in.

@aking1012 Windows 8 - A tables OS without flash, ability to run applications not licensed by microsoft, all in all a terrible OS. Google has the Android, Apple has the iPad, and Canoical has Unity. Did I spell that right?
It's essentially the attempt to give Ubuntu the OSX feel combined with smartphone looking buttons allowing the interface to look eye-catching, and simple compared with Gnome or one of the more professional looking distributions.
I just don't care what I use, as long as it has keyboard shortcuts that A. make sense and B. are discoverable. I don't want to have to wander around inside the source code to find them.
Actually, I started with Red Hat, way back when, moved to Win 95 because it was all I knew. Started with 10.04, found it difficult to use on my tablet PC, back to Win 7, got a free netbook, Win XP, broke XP, back to Win 7, tried 11.10... "What the fuck happened to ubuntu? Why is it mac?"
Didn't like the functionality, back to Win 7, got a PoweMac G5 for $40, OSX for about two months, got a free PC, back to Win 7, tried Wubi w/ 12.04, loved it, slow old PC sucks, back to Mac, Install 12.04 over OSX and here I am today.
Well, I had a grandfather pass away, left no will, mother said "Here, if you can fix the LCD, you can have." Other PC was a Celron from '05. First android equal in processing power.

oh, global warming is kind of funny. since thawing of ice is grossly endothermic i think that's how the next ice-age happens
try pouring cold water into a bucket of ice...then pouring hot water into a bucket of ice. give it about 5-25 seconds depending on the size of the bucket and see which one is colder
