One upshot of this? Users of Radeon Chill (a Radeon Software feature that intelligently controls frame rates to reduce noise and power usage) will probably see a significant improvement in power efficiency. This is undoubtedly a peak power consumption value; past experience shows that Vega can be very efficient at lower frequencies, and given that this is 7nm, you can probably dramatically reduce power usage with just a slight drop in clock frequency.

Is this maybe a case of either i) a periodic function having the same value for ± ½ or ii) something being squared, in which case the sign doesn't matter ?

WA says that the values of cos(tan^-1(1/2)) and cos(tan^-1(-1/2)) are both 2 / sqrt(5)

sin(cot^-1(1/2)) is also 2 / sqrt(5)

I'm not particularly fond of emoji, but I'm ok with them being used sparingly, and NOT in place of regular words.

Unless you're a close friend. In which case I expect you to solely communicate with regular English, minimal slang, and emoticons.

Hindi and other languages we have in common are acceptable to a minimum if written using Latin characters.
