I guess the car analogy to my GPU preference is to buy a "stock", standard performance car like a Subaru BRZ, get the top-level trim, then not tweak it out or customize it or install aftermarket parts
> Dear friend sorry to tell you we can't send your order by AliExpress Standard Shipping. ,we just can only send this item via DHL or standard mail, standard mai is free shipping. if DHL, need you pay extra 7usd express fees,
and that's for my brother, since his phone has a dodgy charging adaptor. It'd keep him going until he upgrades, and since the S7 (edge?) he wants does qi charging, he gets a spare charger.
if I order from Newegg: it gets here in 2-5 business days, packaged well, and shipping is either free if I have a Premier subscription, or a few bucks (maybe $20 for something like a case, less for GPUs and CPUs and such)
if I order from Amazon: since I have a Prime account it's usually free and will get here either tomorrow or the next day, without fail, including weekends
@JourneymanGeek the best I can do there is go to Best Buy (terrible products, generally overpriced, rarely on sale, usually at or above MSRP, and never the ultra high-end stuff, just mid-grade previous-gen crap like GTX 960 and Core i5 Broadwell)... there are Best Buys everywhere
or drive 45 minutes to Microcenter, which has actually good componentry
and by "drive 45 minutes" I mean go 100+ km/h for 45 minutes
@Bob is the AUD<->USD conversion that low, or are prices that inflated?
@JourneymanGeek my system (even with an Adaptec hw RAID card) can successfully suspend and resume now, albeit with significant lag upon resume... maybe I should set my system to auto suspend, or get into the habit of suspending when I go to sleep and when I go to work
it still boots up a lot faster to resume vs. booting cold, but what happens is, the GUI for the Windows login will display, but all I/O requests will get hung until the controller kernel boots up (30s) in the background
During our annual thermal testing we detected a hot spot on the busway power system which supplies the power to the rack where some of your servers are located.
The busway will have to be replaced. We will going to shut down the servers on Tuesday the 19th of July sometime between 3:00 am and 6:00 am (DST) in order to replace the rack’s power supply. The list of your server we will shut down :
ns!!no.ip-!!no-!!no-!!no.net
This should take around 20 minutes. The server will be rebooted from the hard drive once the intervention is complete.
if it were me, if I had a chance to re-do my purchase instead of getting what I have, I'd probably try to find the cheapest card that has the 1080's ASIC (the GP104) regardless of the board cooling solution or FE/non-FE
> Can I mix and match graphics cards from different manufacturers?
Using 180 or later graphics drivers, NVIDIA graphics cards from different manufacturers can be used together in an SLI configuration. For example, a GeForce XXXGT from manufacturer ABC can be matched with a GeForce XXXGT from manufacturer XYZ. Can I mix and match graphics cards if one of them is overclocked by the manufacturer?
Yes. A GeForce XXXX GTX that is overclocked can be mixed with a standard clocked GeForce XXXX GTX.
I've bought 12 new batteries from Amazon (just arrived) so I can run the UV torch 24/7 though why the heck I didn't just hook it up to a 5v adapter is beyond me
It's dried everywhere except around the edges. Around the edges its just ... it doesn't seem to matter how much UV I throw at it
I'm going to use solid stuff or just those external moulds next time, if there is a next time. Right now I just want this damn thing to stop covering the PCB with goo every time I assemble it
