It is, from metasmoke's point of view, ready for you to use, but you need to go through the write-authorization process which you should be able to do by clicking on the "you can do that here" link on this page, which directs you to this page where you need to click the big red button.
The metasmoke account you need to log into is the one which you log into by clicking the "Login with Stack Exchange" button, not by entering an email address and password.

@DavidBuck It was a relatively unusual situation. It's an old account with some good contributions. They just decided to start spamming their current product.
