@Daniil Autoflagging does not look at what feedback is given on that post after it was reported. It only cares about the weight and number of detections at the time it was reported. How people respond to the post is not considered wrt. raising autoflags, because doing so would cause it to be acting as a sock-puppet.

@user12986714 Only a relatively smaller percentage of what they are posting is problematic. They've been informed that there are issues with posting such. I don't recall seeing additional problematic posts from them after they were informed that what they were doing wasn't OK. If they want to post good content at the maximum rate the system allows, then that fine/good. For the plugging of their service/product, we have the site watched, which should cover it. We might want to watch the product name.

@user12986714 is the *+ intentional?

@NobodyNada yes, to make \W progressive

@user12986714 I'm not familiar enough with regex to know what that means. What's the difference between that and just \W*

@NobodyNada It makes the quantifier possessive, which prevents backtracking. It's good to use if the next thing in the regex can't be matched by what the quantifier is modifying.

@Makyen OK. Is there a reason we need that here? I don't see how it would change the semantics in this case; does it hep with performance or something?

@Makyen If the next thing after the quantifier can also be matched by what you're quantifying, then making it possessive will likely cause your regex to fail to match.

The advantage is that such regexes are much faster

@SmokeDetector could be just VLQ

@NobodyNada This post is not a question at all, which indicates the ill intend of the author. (plus the website is particularly spammy)

@NobodyNada It's good to use if you know the next thing can't be matched by what you're repeating. It results in lower overall CPU usage to not match, or match, the regex. It's also possible to intentionally use it where what you're quantifying overlaps the next token, but that rapidly gets out of the head-space that people are thinking about when designing the regex and tends to lead to unexpected behavior.

@user12986714 It is a question: "how do I find out what language a page is made with"

@user12986714 because we don't remove a test if it's just failing; we fix it instead.
but that's CircleCI's fault

@user12986714 It's not a routinely failing test. It's (mostly) a randomly failing test (that tends to fail more than it passes), that appears to fail as a result of bugs in the testing software. If the specific test is removed, then it happens in a different test. The last I looked at it, it appeared to be an issue with the test software running two threads concurrently and randomly failing to properly setup a test in one of the threads.
However, it does look like there is an actually failing test, which is sort-of hidden, because it's immediately after the two "random" failures.

No test was ever passed since May 22nd...

@user12986714 I did say there was an actually failing test.
Specifically the one shown between: bin/rails test test/controllers/flag_conditions_controller_test.rb:6 and bin/rails test test/controllers/flag_conditions_controller_test.rb:71
So, it's the test on line 71.

@NobodyNada It, potentially, adds a detection. Some users base their autoflagging conditions on the number of detections, and may not consider weight. So, it might have gotten something autoflagged which wouldn't have been. The removal from the blacklist is in process.

@user12986714 It's hasn't been implemented. It's also potentially harder, and potentially starts to be where someone should take a more thorough look at the issue.

@ArtOfCode When you have a chance, could you take a look at the following CI issue. IIRC, the moderately recent change you made to the MS database caused the 'should destroy flag condition' test to fail on CI with
ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid: Mysql2::Error: Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails (metasmoke_test.flag_logs, CONSTRAINT fk_rails_1ba4a5345b` FOREIGN KEY (flag_condition_id) REFERENCES flag_conditions (id)): DELETE FROM flag_conditions WHERE flag_conditions.id = 980190962`
app/controllers/flag_conditions_controller.rb:83:in `destroy'.
The second error shown in this CI report is a fairly clean look at the failure.
Unfortunately, it's easy to miss that it's consistently failing, because it's A) very close to where the expected random failure tends to occur (often immediately after it, making it look like it's part of the "random" issue), and B) is sometimes completely masked by the "random" issue (i.e. that test sometimes fail early due to the random error).
I can try to take a look at it, but I'm quite far from being an SME in SQL (i.e. I sort-of know what the error is indicating is a problem, but me translating that into a fix would be, at best, quite time consuming).

@Makyen which change do you think caused it? The changes I made to search shouldn't have had any effect, since they didn't touch the flag_conditions or flag_logs tables.

@ArtOfCode It looks like it first fails on this commit or this commit just before that. The CI testing doesn't show which was where it started failing, because the random error pre-fails the test on the earlier commit.

@Makyen Hm. Odd, because neither of those touch flagging stuff. I've pushed something... no idea if it'll fix it or not

I suspect the earlier one, because that's the one that did a migration changing the indexes.
