Hey
I found a way to shorten link in Smokey's report
https://siteurl.com/q/<PostID>
Even if PostID refers to an answer, the link works.
For example, stackoverflow.com/q/123456 redirects to the answer.
So all we need is the post ID number for a valid link.
Then we have Python "https://{}/q/{}".format(site, postid)

JAD
12:20 PM
same works with /a/

Wait
From code comments I see the use of /questions/ is intentional.
Looks like it's no longer the case.
I'll make a PR to shorten it further after having my dinner.

Don't know why but even if vandalism and garbage contains mostly the same content, vandalism is more amusing than a garbage posted first.

@Mithrandir Yeah we appreciate that privileged to SD (in SOBotics) pass through a SOBotics RO, they can ask us directly and we (normally Floern) will make a push request to code if we think it is correct. The reason is simply only because we have responsibility related to use of SD in that room, hence we like to check they know rules and give some last minute recommendations before we see reports streaming in room.

@Henders yeah, it's the new logo. What I'm doing with this form is gauging interest (if there isn't enough interest, the cost will be prohibitive) and trying to work out some logistics of how it could be done. When I put out a form to collect addresses and things, I'll stick an extra checkbox in it for extra contributions.

eh
I'm not fussed about where they are, as long as they're not shockingly expensive

5:04 PM
a lot of the foreign places will have crazy prices (or not at all) for shipping internationally

@Andy heh, I did actually look at them

the place we're currently looking at had very good prices (compared to what I've seen in the past)

That link isn't loading for me :(

£60 for 200 at stickermule, compared to £40 or £44 or whatever it was

@ArtOfCode we got less than 40

@WELZ Cut to shape? That was a perk of the ones you found, right, @art?

@Henders We obviously did something different lol, but that wasn't it

@Henders yeah

Yeah, cut to shape would mean that it was shield shaped without the extra border. It'd be nice if it's not a significant price increase... though, if the background is clear, it may not matter much? Most of the stickers I get are either clear backed or cut to shape with a white background.

@Catija no, because we selected square stickers with a clear backround

5:24 PM
Actually, after thinking about it, I think that printing on white and cutting to shape is going to be better than printing on clear.

@WELZ yeah, this is where we went different

@Catija and (most likely) much more expensive

I've been picking cut to shape, printed on clear

@WELZ That's not what we were pricing last night? I've not scanned the transcript to see what else went on after I went to bed.

printed on white and cut to shape could also work

5:26 PM
I wonder if white and Cut to shape is better because it adds more of a border than clear.

When they get "cut to shape" they have to order/create a custom die to cut out the stickers (and that usually adds on 1-200 usd)

@ArtOfCode Yeah, me too... I think the clear backing is unnecessary. The colors will be richer on white.

what shape did you choose @ArtOfCode?

@WELZ same shape as the logo

I guess that was it, I had chosen square.
They charge so cheap for a custom shape? that doesn't add up

5:28 PM
Well, their website is currently down... so maybe it put them out of business ;)

nah, stickermule don't charge much more either
bet you they 3D print it
the die, that is

you need die cut stickers if you want them in that shape

yeah

stickermule shows $90 for 200 2x2 (inch)

I keep seeing something called "Kiss cut"... any clue what that is?

5:32 PM
@Catija half-cut out of a sheet of plastic
so they're still kept together in a sheet, but you can punch 'em out
@WELZ yep, £71

stickermule is pretty straightforward, I like that

Ah, so Die is definitely what we want.
But they look nice with a white border like that... allows for separation from whatever they're stuck to.

@Undo @ArtOfCode can one of you confirm if the MS server is out of time sync by >= 10 seconds?
because it's not accepting my TOTP codes for 2FA
i mean it just did, but i tried 5 separate codes over 2 minutes and it was causing issues

in theory it'd have to be out of sync by more than 30 to miss a code
but I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least some out of sync, given that it thinks the last ping was in a few seconds

!!/watch furnituretransportgroup\.com

@Glorfindel Added furnituretransportgroup\.com to watchlist

@ArtOfCode in theory it only needs ot be 10 seconds out of sync so in the 10 out of 30 seconds that I tried my code it "invalidated" because the server is out of sync

6:18 PM
CI on 2a400ae succeeded. Message contains 'autopull', pulling...

any chance we can have it query a timeserver to fix its offset?

Restart: API quota is 9021.

@ArtOfCode you have god power on MS right?
does that let you remove the SD keys:?

@ThomasWard if that's the case, then you'd have to be over 30 seconds behind in entering the code. There's a 30-second tolerance each way - it'll accept the current code, the previous code, or the next code - so somewhere in the system, whether it's the server or the user, there must be a 30-second plus delay for the the system to not accept a correct code.
@ThomasWard yes

@ArtOfCode well it wouldn't hurt to test the time sync problem by poking against an NTP server to reset its time offset.

6:21 PM
aye

@ArtOfCode can you purgify two API codes on my MS profile?
