@ByteCommander if not, try once more. I added a forward to me so that I can go searching.

kay, requested another one

@quartata i'd have to check, it's possible it's got less CPU cycles available to it, I think Lunar is running my mail gateway on another container on it, but I haven't seen anything major go wrong with it./
@quartata Supernova has absolutely nothing except Smokey on it right now, but it's a lower-spec box than Solar or Lunar. Lunar and Supernova are kind of failover worthy though as 'emergency' backups or such

i take it though Solar Flare is also the fastest compared to the other instances that I don't run, then?

(actually, it might be because I gave Smokey a dedicated IP address on Solar Flare... but IDK)

tbh I'm kinda done worrying about SmokeDetector performance tho
we'll get a chance to optimize findspam some day
no point in slogging through it now

@Catija LMAO WTF?!

@Catija hehe

We are not a dating app!

(I've edited it to remove the images but ... I'm really not sure what that's about)

The real question is, who's Lemon Price?

9:10 PM
@Catija I flagged as "unclear what you're asking" :P
so

I flagged (before the image removal) as blatantly off topic
though, I'd still like to think that it is.

Pricing of food items is too localized but they sort of canned that reason.

Before I was a core user again, the system used 1 or 2 of my flags.
Now that I'm a core user, the system still uses 1 or 2 of my flags.
Great!

well, you're also a mar.... that contributes to less autoflagging

i'm confused, what's 'conflicting' there

@SmokeDetector WTH is that supposed to mean?
@WELZ WTH does that have to do with anything?

@ThomasWard for some reason, having it posted as 2 posts.. with only 1 feedbacked does that
@M.A.R. abso-@#$-loutley nothing
Lol

J F
@thesecretmaster Whatโ€™s webpaker doing that causes you trouble again?

sounds like that needs to be fixed :P

Smokey is chasing its own tail

9:14 PM
@ThomasWard eh, too much work

I actually have another security patch to libc on Solar that might result in a quick reboot of it

@WELZ Thomas could use some work to lose weight

which might break Solar Flare briefly :/
(yay for failovers?)

๐Ÿ™Š

Unless this type of work makes him gain weight

9:15 PM
@WELZ @M.A.R. except such weight is lost when you're clearing out a server room of some large and VERY HEAVY 3U, 4U, and 5U rack mounted servers
so

@thesecretmaster Was there something wrong with the answer you posted about importing a database dump? It seemed to work fine for me

@ArtOfCode Last attempt to sign up was now 30 mins ago, and still not a trace of any email here... :-( Did you receive anything or get any status?

@NobodyNada Yes, I'm gradually editing it to work.
It worked as-was, but it made git unhappy

Better than "hot new singles"?

J F
Noticed that Channels doesnโ€™t include user-provided text in URLs (except for charcoal)

9:42 PM
That seems to be missing a "discover weekly"

So, hot new singles used to be married like, an hour ago?
Or is it the same shiny "NEW" badge you see on your 20-year-old cheese flakes?

@NobodyNada [tag:status-completed]

BTW, happy women's and mothers' day @Cat

@M.A.R. wasn't that yesterday?
and isn't that in 2 months?

@WELZ it was both here, today.
Having adapted it to Islamic traditions

9:52 PM
Mothers day varies a lot around the world

But why do we need a day to celebrate @Cat's awesomeness?

should be a month or two

Besides the fact that every other day is celebrating my awesomeness

^^^ No shame, this one...
<3 @M.A.R. You're sweet. :D

@thesecretmaster Awesome!

I don't think those emoji are recognized by my system.

They're smiling and grinning and what-not

9:57 PM
That's on Windows 10 with Chrome anyway
And that's me afk

I think, though, to be a pro emoji user, you need to repeat the same frigging emoji over and over until it infuriates a chimpanzee let alone an educated man

I'm probably wrong, but isn't the rule to flag that as VLQ/NAA, because it doesn't fit the definition of spam or r/a?

A: Is a post like 'assdddsssafffwq' spam?

Undo Note that this represents my opinion on the matter. It isn't an official stance, and shouldn't be taken as such. Additionally, this doesn't completely apply to cases of already-established users posting gibberish. It's probably better to flag those as NAA and give them the benefit of the ...

A: Let's get aligned on how spam flags can be used

ArtOfCodeI vote the following: Red flags on gibberish are okay (handle as Helpful). Do we really want "sdfiushrf;usrgbsrilbslfibsl.eifub!" sticking around the site for longer than necessary? Red flags put the ability to remove these posts in the hands of a much wider scope of the community than communit...

@SmokeDetector this question could do with protecting if there's an SO moderator active
(or 15k user)

eh, previous one was in 2017. Not worth it
Bounty expires in six minutes, which will drop a lot of the publicity

@TylerH It's just been protected by Makyen

I protected it and set an auto-revisit for 2 days at which point I'll unprotect it.

How are you doing that?
Have some kind of script? If so, I want it.

no doubt it's a user script
It's almost to the point where Makyen has as many user scripts as Jon Skeet does rep :-P

10:59 PM
@Undo Currently unreleased version of the SOCVR Request generator. It, currently, allows you to set a reminder for 2 or 11 days (I'm probably going to add user-specified length). The question is then automatically opened in an additional tab upon your next visit to any SE question after the time expires. A notification is shown in the tab which you are viewing, and a sticky notice in the newly opened tab. You can leave yourself a custom message along with the revisit.

Nice

@ArtOfCode re that email we got about channels: I can't find any settings for the user to do it themselves, do you have any ability to kick/permanently suspend the user or something?
Or will they have to contact SE?

there were allegations that Art could do something like this
