@micsthepick usually "framework" refers to a general architecture for a specific type of programs, like desktop applications or web services. Django offers a rich set of libraries for building something for the web and while it's reasonably broad and rich in scope, there are still some things you really don't want to use it for

and on the other hand if your needs are simple, it's probably not worth the learning curve

Use Django if you want it to be easier, Flask if you want to build everything by yourself.

Django is more convenient while Flask would be more flexible.
