@NobodyNada you were supposed to feedback. Now, your MS token, SD privileges and credit card will be taken

hey the SO one worked
@Undo can you check a deletion time for me

Wait. Wasn't sandbox locked or something?

Aye
@ArtOfCode's handwriting is impressive. And thanks :)

@Cerbrus was thinking, would be nice to make FIRE work on transcripts as well (I tried just adding in // @match *://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/*... well that didn't work, so it's not as simple as I'd hoped)

:)

@Undo did you ping @Cat that you received the stickers?

No :(

12:06 AM
I did :)

@Undo 15?

@quartata That's the right timestamp
I did get to explain why someone with a female-sounding name was sending me stuff in an envelope with pink marker on it, though ;)

but it's :07 now

Pink? What? Was it pink?

...blue. Light blue-greenish

12:08 AM
@WELZ or tomorrow (maybe even the next day) because of the storm coming... my life is ruined! 😲

@WELZ there was a good reason it didn't work there. I just don't remember what it was. I couldn't get it working back when I wrote it.

OK. I know I made one person's pink but it wasn't yours.

Dunno where pink came from. My brain is fried from work today.

@quartata Easy to test

ok what gives, you clearly checked it
Oh
Did we want it to send off to MS when culling
I forgot I didn't do that
well I guess it's working then

Looks like it

Looks like what?

Like it's working

@Cerbrus hmm
Anybody else know?

12:15 AM
Oh I thought you meant the MSE thing
So going back through the transcript it looks like Art wanted it this way
which is not to report posts that were deleted during a reboot since we don't know the exact time

Reboots aren't that long, but they would definitely skew results

or an instance shutting down entirely
then coming back up and we get (deleted about 7 months ago)

Failing MS knowing how to handle uncertainty in deletion times, throwing away deletion data on those seems like a reasonable step
I'm not terribly attached to any solution there
(gotta run)

this is fine then

soooooooooooooo, I replaced the flame emoji in FIRE with a devil emoji 😈.... the results are fantastic!
hehe, evil spam

hey guys
I want to nominate myself in the election, but I don't really want to be a mod. I only want to collect feedbacks to prepare for further real elections (real = I want to be a mod). Is it OK?

No

not even if I state clearly "I only want to learn"?

Nope. If it's not a serious nomination, what do you think the feedback you're going to get all be?

Fine. I'll refrain from doing so.

1:44 AM
Read the feedback the current nominees are getting. See if any of it applies to you.

Oh yes. You Charcoal guys are rocking and I can collect some first-hand feedbacks from you :) 👍

Go back to previous elections and do the same.

@Andy Good recommendation. Thanks

I would normally suggest to just nominate yourself and then remove it at the last minute.... but my suggestions lately have been criticized. :S

@ArtOfCode
Moderating multiple sites can be tricky. As we've seen with different meta posts from different sites, each one wants to do their own thing. If this community has agreed to do something differently than the other communities you moderate, will you be prone to follow the other standards that you are already used to and agree with, or would you be able to separate the two and perform what each community wants and expects? In other words, are you willing to put on multiple hats for each site and perform to each of your community's expectations and standards? — K.Dᴀᴠɪs 16 secs ago

oh ffs
I hate this

@quartata The URL bug just occurred again yesterday.
I plan to add/change a filter to URL
Currently we remove known "invisible characters" from the URL and hope it's done.
I want to do the reverse: Rebuild the URL from "known valid" characters, which is supposed to be more secure
e.g. url = ''.join([c for c in url if c in URL_CHAR])
and URL_CHAR=r"ABCDE...XYZabcde...xyz123...890:/%#?-_" (like this)

CI on 77cdd41 succeeded.

Now we have a list of known valid characters, so any invalid characters are filteted out.

@quartata str(None) is an explicit conversion, isn't it?

@WELZ Did I understand you to say that providing multiple identical feedbacks on the same post results in increasing your feedback count, as considered for the core role? If so, that doesn't sound like it should be that way.

@Makyen yep
It has to do with waiting for 2 reviews in review, it won't go away if I've reviewed with FIRE, and I can just do it again in MS review

3:39 AM
@WELZ Hmmm, well, what it actually implies is that any feedback submitted to the API counts. The only reason FIRE doesn't do it is that it specifically checks for you having provided feedback. Personally, I didn't like that, so I removed it and put in a confirmation popup asking for the user to confirm changing feedback.
It implies that you could just write code to send 60 feedbacks on the same post and get core. That would be easy to do, but obvious, if someone looked at the database.
