Yeah; as a general rule on all SE stacks, don't answer low-quality/closeable questions.

And my personal issue with casual, not well-researched answers is that this sites is about humans and pets that depend on their humans. If a user posts a crappy “try this random thing I found on a website” on a coding site, the code won’t work or a build fails. No biggie, that can be fixed. Here, those vulnerable creatures in our care will suffer the consequences of bad advice. Wanting to help is good. Being very certain that the given advice doesn’t cause harm is more important.

I prefer to assume best intentions of people; finding ways to be offended by common language is assuming the worst in everyone and using language as a cudgel instead of a means of communication.

As a user - I try to have my answers as unique as possible. If I have a slight variation - I'd use comments. Two answers close together is a pain but if mine's worse I'd yield to the other answer. Rep's not that important
