Batman pose from my catman
@C.Koca Cool!
@Wolgwang Thanks man!
It goes great with your avatar :)
@C.Koca The ceiling.
@Sarov Dad jokes!
The older you get, the funnier dad jokes become

I guess I am ready to be a dad :P
Milk is unhealthy for cats?
@C.Koca :-D
@Wolgwang General consensus is that it is unhealthy
They can't process the milk proteins well, and they tend to have diarrhea
But there are still people claiming otherwise
What about other dairy products?
@Wolgwang I don't give any
@C.Koca I have committed the sin of feeding milk to many stray cats. :-(
16:03
@Wolgwang Feeding stray cats is a different issue
The malnourishment for strays is real
So I wouldn't say you committed a grave sin, you might have helped some stray cats
Oh! :-)
@C.Koca What about dogs?
@Wolgwang Literally no idea
My father feeds stray dogs breads soaked in bone broth, bones and boiled other discarded tissues
Depending on the systems available, it may make more sense to capture strays and bring them to a nearby clinic/shelter.
@Wolgwang Cats are generally (but not always) lactose intolerant, so it's not a great source of nutrition for them. A better bet is cheap kibble for feeding strays, though it'll mean more strays.
@Sarov I agree with that. It is always good to make friends with strays, call the authorities if they neuter for free (they almost always do), and then keep feeding them
Making sure the numbers won't go up is a priority
16:17
Or getting them off the street entirely. Relative used to work at a vet clinic that occasionally doubled as an adoption centre. Find stray animal, bring to clinic, give it shots, give away to someone as a pet.
(Or adopt ourselves, in one case that worked out phenomenally. Great-personality cat who lived like 20 years).
@Sarov I noticed stray cats make better tempered cats than most. They really don't forget their straying time
But adopting depends a lot on the country. It is impossible to have a significant portion of the strays to get adopted in Turkey. There are just too many of them.
Hence, "depending on the systems available".

I see! Thanks for the advice.

@Wolgwang As far as I know, all mamals become lactose intolerant when they grow up, so milk can cause diarrhea in dogs, too. That humans can still eat and drink dairy products is a mutation that is most common in northern Asia (Mongolia), Europe and North America
Hooray for being mutants~
@Sarov It's speculated that this particular mutation helped early European people survive famines (that's why it's so common in Europe) and that the Mongolian armies during Genghis Kahn's (and his successor's) time where superior to others because they drank the milk of their horses and had much more protein in their diet than other folks.
Huh. So it wasn't just that horse archers are a nightmare to fight on steppes.
@Sarov Weren't they the same people? At least that's the ones I meant. They also started an invasion into Europe and further helped spreading the mutation among the population
Yes; hence my 'wasn't just'.
If Mount&Blade taught me anything, it's that you just can't beat horse archers on plains without superior weaponry (e.g. crossbows).
18:42
@Sarov How do you get horses to use bows with hooves? :D
Very. Carefully.
18:57
@Sarov Khergits all the waayyyyy
Khuzait, in the new one.

And no. Rhodoks FTW.
For some reason I'm confusing it with Khajit :D
Did not buy Bannerlord, really didnt feel like it was worth
Definitely not Rhodoks, Vaegirs maybe but not Rhodoks or Swadia
It's pretty great, imo. It's still being updated, too.
@SerenaT What is wrong with you.
Rhodok Sharpshooters master race.
I used to play Warband competetive and the insight into TaleWorlds I got was pretty horrible
19:02
Oh?
The singleplayer might be alright but I played it multiplayer mostly
Yeah it's really more of a singleplayer game.
And I know it is still being developed but it is sold at a full title and basically AAA
And thats not worth it
All I can really say is that the 1P is a big step up from Warband's.
Though I miss forming a single row of 400 Rhodok Sharpshooters.
Vlandians are close but just not as good.
It's also cool that you can do a pacifist kingdom route if you get your Trade high enough that you can just buy cities.
Hmmm maybe Ill wait till it gets cheaper
19:09
Steam sales are also a thing I think.
Yeah true
Ever try Mount&Musket?
No, what is it?
Multiplayer mod for Warband. Napoleonic.
Oh hmm I tried other mods. Musket really doesnt sound like me :D
I played stuff like NordInvasion
19:12
Muskets and cannons.
Muskets are basically 1-hit kills but are so unbelievably inaccurate.
Lets you know how terrifying it must've been to be a soldier then. Basically a roll of the dice.
lol
@Sarov Even modern weapons are pretty bad cause... people apparently have trouble shooting other people...
and getting shot at, even simulated, with real ammo is pretty terrifying
I can only imagine.
(part of basic training, they make you crawl through similated trenches, with a MG firing at a safe overhead trajectory)
Sounds unfun.
Very
19:29
Well - it wasn't
It wasn't unfun?
Oh it wasn't fun :D
Aah. You had me worried for your mental state for a moment there.
I think my knees were blistered
What sort of lunatic uses a double-negative? Oh and enjoys getting shot at I guess.
19:32
@Sarov Fun fact. I used to work for a VFX studio called double negative
Well if you used double negatives routinely, getting shot at...
@Sarov Another fun fact, there are often misunderstandings in communication with companies in (or people from) India, because there a double negative is even more negative. So if they write "I absolutely can't do this not" they really strongly refuse.
Oh gods.
@Elmy Might be literal translations but I don't think tamil works like that
@JourneymanGeek It's a thing I learned in "international busines english". I have no idea in which of the many Indian languiages that actually happens
@Elmy :D
something something broad overgeneralisations something something
19:46
And I noticed that Google translator often forgets the "not" in a negated sentence, especially in Chinese. What a joy...
We once had a very angry customer calling us because of a spanish translation of our software. It was about the translation of "male" and "female". The word our translator used for "female" was allegedly commonly used in Spain, but it resembled something like "c*nt" in Latin America...
Whoopsie.
