By default, interpolation is switched to -1, which handles like C++, `array[1.5] == array[1]`,
but with interpolation level 0, it rounds instead, so `array[1.5] == array[2]`,
at 1 you get a linear interpolation, so that `array[1.5] = (array[1] + array[2])/2`,
and anything 2 and above gives you a Lanczos Sinc interpolation of the same size
