Sep 4, 2015 21:28
Well, TTQW. See ya peoples later
Sep 4, 2015 21:28
I only did haskell for like 3 days. Moved to F#. Supprised I remeber anything, lol.
Sep 4, 2015 21:26
I think haskell uses ++ for string concats
Sep 4, 2015 21:23
I think many have a dynamic type, but they highly suggest against using them unless you know why you need it.

You should totally just have one mess of ternarys as one of the higher point questions, and ask what the output is.
Sep 4, 2015 21:17
that sounds better to me
Sep 4, 2015 21:15
huh, would have never guessed that....
Sep 4, 2015 21:10
Also, the wording is confusing, that's why I quoted it.
Sep 4, 2015 21:10
same here
Sep 4, 2015 21:05
Never used angular. That's some kind of MVC thingy for javascript, right?
Sep 4, 2015 21:04
and jquery plugins
Sep 4, 2015 21:04
Bootstrap is all I can do
Sep 4, 2015 21:03

> * false
Sep 4, 2015 20:59
yeah, I'm with ya
Sep 4, 2015 20:58
@Phrancis True, but personally I hate CSS more (though with flex-box it isn't as bad)

@Caridorc Just spend 3 days redoing some JavaScript I wrote. I'm starting to get the correct layout now
Sep 4, 2015 20:46
@Duga hypothetical code?
Sep 4, 2015 20:43
@Caridorc JavaScript?
Sep 4, 2015 20:28
@Caridorc If I understand what you're asking, I don't think there would be an issue, but if you're still not sure you could ask one of the mods who hang around here. I'm far from and authoritative figure.
Sep 4, 2015 20:14
hello
Sep 4, 2015 19:48
hiaku and everything
Sep 4, 2015 19:48
I'm pretty sure at one point I set up a 404 page the same way @JeroenVannevel described.
Sep 4, 2015 19:39

My feelings towards JavaScript constantly swing between
> huh, this is a lot nicer that I though
to
> OMG! I HATE JAVASCRIPT! WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS!!!!
Sep 4, 2015 17:47
@DanLyons I can't wait till we upgrade to C#6 so I can use that operator.
Sep 4, 2015 17:45
I have a ternary addiction
Sep 4, 2015 17:45
I think what I really liked is the succinctness. It's a real problem I have, as I sometimes make code less readable because it's shorter.
Sep 4, 2015 17:43
Never thought functional languages were that different until I tried them.
Sep 4, 2015 17:42
Okay, cool. Just wondering. With the little I've done I'm quite impressed with it. Going back to C#, I wanted to continue writing in the same style.
Sep 4, 2015 17:39
Does anyone here use F# at all? I've noticed that there's very little activity on the tag.
Sep 4, 2015 14:10

Sep 4, 2015 13:55
I don't see why people remove code. It's much easier to do a ctrl+a ctrl+c ctrl+v, than going through and cutting stuff.
Sep 4, 2015 13:24
@EthanBierlein Hello
Sep 4, 2015 13:22
@ARedHerring It's new. And I wish we upgraded at work so I could use it.
Sep 4, 2015 13:20
Yeah saw that after. Though you were talking about the ?.
Sep 4, 2015 13:19
oh wait
Sep 4, 2015 13:19
@ARedHerring It's new in the version shipped with VS 2015
Sep 4, 2015 13:17
I use it all the time

Funniest thing about VBScript, is it's the first language I tried learning. Quickly changed that to C++.
