@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 I always force myself to do that, and never succeed. It's always WTF this can't be right, and I keep fooling around, in vain, only to give up and then find out that, again, it's the very last step that fixes everything.
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 this is the video I mentioned yesterday, with awful sound and camera work, where Jamie explains in-depth how he ended up with the current design and how nothing else worked at all.
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 I had a closer look at the image on the package right now, and they actually tightened the string in the foreground by turning its connecting point 180 degrees, and the string in the background actually is loose in the official photo even though they did a 180 on that one, too!
@RegDwighт on my model, the two 10-long strings that form the decoration in the middle of the wing, the centre studs are in line so that the string forms a continuous line, but at one end of each pair one of the studs is rotated 90 degrees which adds tension.
@RegDwighт on my model, because I'm not super careful, one wing has the string rotated 90° at the lower wing, and the other has it rotated 90° at the upper wing, and they're pretty tight.
@Cerberus my point exactly. Just like George W. Or Merkel, for that matter. If you expect nothing of people, of course they exceed your expectations. They can't help it.
And tonight I'll finally dive into Sopwith Camel, another one of Jamie's models, or perhaps the Town Hall. Or the Hobbit gathering. Gah. Choices, choices.
"Autonomous sensory meridian response" (ASMR) is a neologism for an alleged biological phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli. Tom Stafford, a professor at the University of Sheffield, says, "It might well be a real thing, but it's inherently difficult to research."
Origins of the term in popular culture
According to a submission at Know Your Meme, "ASMR" was first used on 25 February 2010 in the Facebook group Autonomous Sensory Meridia...
@Andrew Why don’t you capitalize royalty titles any longer? If the Prince of Wales shows up, why would he be the prince of Wales today? After all, his mother is not the queen of England.
