fetches his Kerberos keys
fetches Kerbie’s keys
Now you can have Tommy Shaw serenading you throughout eternity!
Kareful, he has a thing for Karen.
Uhh...
Nescio de quo dicas.
I’m talking about a rock-n-roll band.
The Devil!
Styx is an American rock band that became famous for its albums from the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Chicago band is known for melding the style of prog-rock with the power of hard rock guitar, strong ballads, and elements of American musical theater. The band is best known for the hit songs "Lady" (#6, 1975), "Come Sail Away" (#8, 1977), "Babe" (#1, 1979), "The Best of Times" (#3, 1981), "Too Much Time on My Hands" (#9, 1981), and "Mr. Roboto" (#3, 1983). Other hits include "Show Me the Way" (#3, 1990), "Don't Let It End" (#6, 1983), "Renegade" (#16, 1978), and "Boat on the River"...

I wasn't alive then.
23:03
How did it feel to be dead?
We prefer to call it unlive.
Keep your undies to yourself.
What did they feed you?
In the psycho ward, I mean.
Stuff.
Do you see lots of weird shapes and colours?
23:05
Karen is another plutonion satellite.
She’s implacable.
What's that supposed to be?
Define weird.
Like in a mirror.
I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise, they climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies.
Ezekiel 1:1–28
@Cerberus You really should listen to, and watch, that if you haven’t before. So cool.
> The plane carrying Bolivian President Evo Morales home from Russia was rerouted to Austria on Tuesday after France and Portugal refused to let it cross their airspace because of suspicions that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was on board, the country's foreign minister said.
That is completely insane.
Outrageous.
23:19
Evil, even.
I am ashamed of my continent.
I mean, there’s no need to divert the plane. We can just shoot it down with ICBMs, right?
No, ICBMs don't cause a lot of radioactive fall-out. I think you need dirty bombs.
I'm assuming you meant nuclear ICBMs.
It’s easier that way because you don’t have to actually hit them.
Just land 10 nukes around the plane.
That should take care of it.
I suppose that's true.
23:21
That would have avoided this embarrassment.
The Tsar Bomba would probably destroy all planes within 10 km, so one will do.
Let’s blame France.
I kind of hope he has arrived in Austria.
Less unpredictable than Russia.
The Alps are so nice this time of the year.
And there is that.
23:23
I still cannot believe it has come to this sort of bullying and nonsense.
Yeah, it's pretty bad.
It could have been worse. It could have diverted to Egypt.
Maybe that wouldn't have been so bad...
There’s going to be another military coup there tomorrow.
Not usually a good place to be.
But the coup will probably bring at least temporary peace.
23:31
An authoritarian lockdown also brings such.
I haven’t studied how it has come to this again so fast in Egypt, the toppling of a ruler.
On less depressing news, Colorado just announced the rule for recreational pot vending.
> Marijuana-laced snacks that can spoil have to carry an expiration or use-by date.
> Labels have to list the potency of the drug and carry warnings such as "There may be health risks associated with the consumption of this product" and "Keep out of the reach of children."
@tchrist Well, Morse is pretty bad.
There are all kinds of rules. Like disposal.
So he kind of needs to go.
The army may be the lesser evil. The Musim Brotherhood have proven even worse than expected.
Apparently.
You expected an Islamist organization to turn out well?
Well, define Islamism.
23:35
That one.
The question was, how Islamist were they going to turn out?
Besides, the main problem may be their authoritarian behaviour.
Notice that the Muslim organisation (partly?) in power in Tunesia has been doing rather well.
@Cerberus Seems like it, yeah.
Notice also that Erdogan's Islamic party is not so bad either.
Well. . . .
Yes, it could be worse.
It could also be better.
A major problem in Egypt is also huge corruption.
23:39
Morsi says that.
@tchrist The AK Party is much better than most secular parties in the Islamic world or anywhere.
He may be right.
He is part of the problem.
He also says he won’t go.
He may be wrong.
Quite.
I'm kind of glad Chavez is gone: even though some good things happened in Venezuela, he made the entire country seem like a crazy bogeyman.
23:41
His echoes remain.
Maduro roughly continues the policies of Chavez, but the image of the country has already greatly improved.
He's also less ugly and a better dresser.
So is a boot to the head.
Yes.
He got it from his mama.
23:44
I guess nobody from South America gets to fly home from Europe any longer.
No private or state aeroplanes, no.
Maybe next time they’ll take the train.
Actually, they can just avoid France and Portugal.
Perhaps.
Why did they stop in Austria?
Because Austria would let them, probably.
23:46
> Choquehuanca said in a statement that after France and Portugal canceled authorization for the flight, Spain’s government allowed the plane to be refueled in its territory. From there the Falcon plane flew on to Vienna.
Apparently, Spain wouldn't let them stay there.
Weird.
Probably because of his accent.
Not.
Haha.
> He said the decision by France and Portugal “put at risk the life of the president.” Morales was in the Vienna airport Tuesday night meeting with the plane’s crew to reprogram his return to Bolivia, the defense minister Saavedra said.
“Reprogram”?
I rather wonder why they didn't simply fly on to South America, if they had already reached Spain.
@tchrist To find a new route.
23:49
They leave Russia and have to stop for fuel while still in Europe? Don’t understand.
Perhaps the plane has a short range.
Good luck getting home with that then.
Moscow-Madrid is 3400 km.
Yes?
Moscow-Caracas is 10,400 km.
23:51
Planes leaving New York do not stop in Chicago and Denver to refuel en route to Los Angeles.
And there are non-stop flights from Denver to Tokyo and London and Frankfurt, etc.
Now add a detour for being forced to fly around France...
Fly around France: sounds like they’re touring.
Yes, but Bolivia may not have a long-range plane.
President Rafael Correa from Ecuador said that E. lacked such a plane.
Really?
Maybe they are stopping to check for bugs. :)
Doubtful...
Drugs, maybe.
23:53
Why would the Austrians give him safe harbor? Aren’t they big on The Rules there?
No, South America to Europe, stop for drugs. Not on the ride home.
His name Choquehuanca is weird. What’s a Huanca? A Juanca? Doesn’t help much. But whatever it is, they’re shocking it, not choking it. :)
Maybe it’s a monkey.
Lawler is at it again:

Q: Usage of future perfect

royI have a question about the usage of future perfect tense. I know it is used to talk about a completed action before a time in future, but is it wrong to use future simple in this case? For example, can we use " I will finish all my money by the end of the week." instead of "I will have finished...

Damn it.
If only the guy hadn’t said tense, he might have gotten an answer.
Instead, he gets a tongue lashing.
Fucking shibboleth.
Yeah.
@tchrist I don't really know. Politics.
