Q: Word for: 'Because of war'

I'm looking for, as I feel there probably is, an adjective that means something along the lines of 'as a consequence of war'. e.g., "The women were bored by the X lack of men." Where X implies that the lack of men is due to some war.

We were talking about BASIC-PLUS the other day; what I need to figure out in Perl is how to do the moral equivalent of DIM #1.

@tchrist Mostly, these people are perfectly willing to accept a "term" instead of a "word"; what they can't accept is research effort.

The more practical problem is the use of EL&U as a human dictionary or thesaurus.

@tchrist That's not a problem. One can always ignore keys and just slog through a dataset. But if one can do a key based select first, and then apply regex to what's left, that's much faster.
