The mountains are beautiful, particularly in the Fall when the leaves are changing and it looks like the world is on fire.

You never know what is real and what is not, same for grammar. Look at this question.

Q: Quoting a question at the end of a sentence which is itself a question

If my sentence is a question and ends with a quote of a question, where exactly do I put a question mark? Did she ask, "Is it raining"? Did she ask, "Is it raining?"? Did she ask, "Is it raining?"

I said the comma may be omitted, not that it must be omitted. And for that probably I got downvoted. Crazy!
