@dhein I think one resounding idea/concept/thought that comes out from the deaf community is that we just want to see effort from hearing folks to include us, because we've always been excluded from activities just because we couldn't hear
so seeing someone put that bit of effort in is really rewarding and we absolutely encourage that

oh hello :) and thank you :)

hi! happy friday :)

happy friday :) I've got my sister here sleeping over. We'll watch Les Miserables tonight :D

oh fun! that's such a good musical

2:19 AM
yup, both @El'endiaStarman and my sister don't really recall it well and it's worth seeing again. Seeing the movie with Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, Anne Hathaway, etc.

Don't recall it well? I've never seen it. :P

heh, I haven't seen it either actually. I hear it's good though! or as a musical friend said, at least some of the actors know how to sing :P

yeah, the 2004 phantom movie wasn't as good as I thought because after hearing the real singers I realized that they were not singing properly

yeah... it was pretty though
it's too bad good broadway recordings are just.. not really a thing

2:35 AM
there's Cats... that was a good one. Phantom's 25th anniversary.
those are really good recordings

I forgot about Cats! my grandma showed me that when I was like, single-digits age and was kind of weirded out by the whole thing lol

That was my first reaction too haha I didn't get the story but the music and dancing was catchy
okay, gonna watch Les Mis! :D
Good night!

have fun :D

oh, will do :)

Q: How to incorporate unannounced visits

spmooseThe age of the doorbell appear to be over. Even phone calls seem odd if not planned. A recent interview made this clear to me. I really enjoy the idea of “just stopping by”. How can I do this in today’s world without be inappropriate and intrusive?

@mod (@EmC ) Is it possible to "made up" a question and their answers for the Tour? Like, if I think the question should be something about "How to communicate to X that Y what making them feel Z?", would it be possible to make up a question and answers for it, even though the actual question doesn't exist on IPS?

@Noon I know of at least two or three sites (Christianity.SE being one of them) that made up a small question with small answers specifically for the Tour, and then historical-locked it.
There are probably many more sites that have done the same.

@El'endiaStarman Oh, that's interesting, thanks!

Q: How to split a vacation rental bill by ability to pay

DaveI'm planning a trip with friends and I'd like to rent a house for the weekend. The bill for such a rental, housing 8-10 people, is $800-1,000. I don't want to pay the whole cost myself, but I am happy to pay more than my share if it means some people would go who otherwise couldn't afford it. I a...

Q: How do I tell the waiter that I want each course as soon as it's ready?

sunbartSometimes when eating out, I'll be faced with the choice of "Do you want to have the starter first or both courses at the same time?". I actually just want each food item to be brought as soon as it's ready, so I'll not have to wait for longer than necessary. For all I care, the main course can ...
