@Cronax I had a boring teacher on my trip to Paris, so we ended up in the fashion museum. Not even the history teacher could sway her to allow us to go visit the Louvre and catacombs.
It's rusty, I did my exam at 17, and only used it afterwards on 2 trips when doing the mundane stuff like buying groceries, asking directions, being polite and returning a found ID card to the police station
@Tinkeringbell I definitely got some raised eyebrows from French people when I apologized in advance for my terrible French...in rapid, fluent, accentless French XD
@Cronax thanks! I also needed to get some lunch in ;) Even just by writing the question and seeing comments I've noticed a lot of things about both me and him. He has a lot going on until Friday so I prefer to postpone the discussion a little bit, so I at least have most of his attention on my side.
Funnily enough with all the reflection I've done on our relationship, I've only learned to appreciate him more. Which probably seems odd after such a question but I noticed he has some demons of his own he/we need to work on.
@JaneDoe1337 I feel you. I was overwhelmed by the support I got when I asked my first question. It has 20 answers, some of them are close to the max char limit
I think it didn't help that I was often walking around in 'normal' clothes, in the town etc so people might think I was from around the area and just started talking in their language to me.
@JaneDoe1337 which usually is a good sign. You can blend in ^^. But i think if you switch to english there should be no problem. The percentage of swiss ppl who speak english is absurdly high when considering it's not a national language. Dutch ppl are similar iirc
@Cashbee yeah they often even apologised for it, they're very friendly people. Dutch people are very similar, to a point where people who come here to learn Dutch get very annoyed with us lol
speaking seriously though, we're strangers to each other so i'm not sure how to interpret that question -- are you unsure about what people mean when they use the word geek, or are you familiar with it already but you're engaging us in a philosophical question about what defines geekiness?
@Cashbee hmm I'm too introverted to have many friends though! But I get her pain. I do the befriend their wives thing and it actually works out quite nicely for me. Sometimes we all go do nice things together, sometimes it's just me and the guys. But I guess it helps I have a boyfriend.
I do still call him my boyfriend btw 'registered partner' doesn't exactly roll off your tongue.
We planned on getting married (again not with shared goods), since we both have no interest in a wedding. But our families were hugely disappointed so we opted for this.

I agree, That's why I want to find an indirect way of making him understand. It's not really about his sweat problem, I understand that. But there are lots of things you can do about it. There are tee shirts that help and deodorant that are really good for this. — I am bored11 secs ago
@Cashbee when i was in the age where i'd do that we'd invite each other to watch movies together. there wasnt implicit intimacy involved. everything is more direct now

I'm an Android Developer in a big company. I started to work here less than a month ago.
