Q: Robert Rankin 7 piece suit

DannyMcGA typical 3 piece suit is a matching jacket, trousers and waistcoat. However I know that somewhere in a Robert Rankin book he describes a character dressed in a 7 piece suit, I think it included a top hat and an overcoat but that only makes it five items. Can anyone please identify the book I can...

Q: Who's piloting the Ghost in The Rise of Skywalker?

Rick StarrunnerDuring the climax of the battle of Exegol, with Lando's reinforcements, we can clearly see the VCX-100 light freighter "Ghost" jumping in the fray just behind the Falcon. During the following battle we have some others fragments which shows again the ship darting around. While I'm assuming is Ja...

@AncientSwordRage Aye, and on similar lines when you click an article and the first 75% is about a history of the subject or some other BS that you don't care about so you have to spend 30 seconds trying to find where the titular part of the article starts

@TheLethalCarrot that is less of a bother for me, as I am happy to skim up to that point

It's more annoying when it's about the ending of something or spoilery content, and when it's 95% to 5%
If I didn't know most of that stuff I wouldn't be there in the first place; don't bury why I clicked with nonsense

@Mithical My dad used to manufacture LSD and offered me pot when I was in high school, so my childhood probably wasn't typical.

Q: Is there an "incapacitate" setting for ships weapon?

ShadeSomething we've become quite familiar with in Star Trek is the "Set phasers to stun" with away parties if they don't want to kill somebody. Is there in Star Trek a similar weapon (setting) for ship to ship weapons, e.g. an EMP canon or something similar, in case you want / need to incapacitate an...

Q: TV Alternate World Story - No WW2

Mike StoneIn the 1960s or possibly 1970s I saw a British tv programme in which a man gets transferred into an alternate world. I only remember a few snatches. He gets a coin in change with Edward VIII's head on it, and a woman tells him that Hitler was assassinated in 1938. There has been no WW2 and I thi...

Q: Are there at least 2 Drury Lanes in the Shrek universe?

Alex DownsInspired by the answer to this question I asked a while back: Where does the Muffin Man live in Shrek? @gowenfawr said that the Muffin Man lives in either Duloc or Far Far Away depending on what movie you want to consider. But both movies are obviously canon. So ARE there 2 Drury Lanes, one in Du...

Q: Scifi YA Novel set in Africa

AnonymousSometime Before 2008 I read a YA Novel set in a futuristic African city, near future with hover cars, I think the city was Johannesburg but I could be wrong. The main characters were the three children of the police chief. I want to say one of them was a boy scout. I seem to remember there was ...

Q: Book about relativistic ship, ESP for navigation and communication, Earth destroyed

NimlothThis is a book I read around 2007. A ship is traveling away from Earth at relativistic speeds. Navigation / maintenance of speed requires constant intervention by a few people on board who have some sort of special mental / extrasensory capability; they work in shifts. Some people on board (the n...

Q: Why did this character appear this way in Wandavision?

Sophie the Jedi KnightWandavision spoilers There's another question on this site about why Wanda "recognized" Fietro as her brother, since he doesn't look like MCU Quicksilver at all. (How did Wanda recognize this character?) The answer is a bit weird, but it technically works - Wanda wanted to believe that her brot...
