@Sebastiano eeeer. There is no way to remove all the pictures of kids that people have as their profile image - lots of people have it. There is no reason to assume that that's the picture of a relative/friend/whatever of theirs - the picture might have come off the internet. There are lots if pictures of kids on SE; it's not the biggest problem.

Also, in addition, next time you have a problem with a user on a specific site, raise a custom mod flag on that site. Chat mod flags alert every mod on the network.

@Sebastiano you get downvotes from time to time, normally we suggest people who downvote leave a comment, but not everyone does, and certainly the site is designed such that anonymous voting is the expected behaviour. As I say it is best to view rep as some arbitrary number that goes up and down.

any points to manually creating data for a 3d (f(x,y)) plot in pgfplots via external gnuplot? Note I do not want tikz to run the gnuplot, just for gnuplot to create the xyz data for tikz to load via external file. My GNUPlot FU is not great

@ChristianHupfer I think I have the tikz part down, my issues are the data generated by gnuplot. Tikz does not draw as many lines in the y direction as in the x direction. Not sure if data id missing from the gnuplot output, or if tikz does not reasd it correctly

You will get a file with records for each isoline and 4 columns. I can't remember what the fourth column stands for (checked now: It's some information.) I hope pgfplots can be configured to ignore the 4th column

@daleif: The output of set table produces a gnuplot comment header, i.e. with #.... I am not sure pgfplots does recognize this.

@ChristianHupfer also the terminal part does not seem to fit this as we are not generating a plot only data. I'll see if I can find an option to remove the comments to see if that helps. I have to leave for today, more testing tomorrow.

@AlanMunn not really although all the opentype math fonts have the sans serif math alphabets, so it depends what you need exactly.

@AlanMunn (sorry I was connected from my phone, now I'm finally able to communicate better). I don't agree. IMHO Euler (for instance) works nice for both slides and posters. Antykwa Toruńska is an extravagant font that would be distracting on slides, but completely fine on posters, it's got quite thick strokes, and in high quality print, it's very well legible. Also, IMHO, pleasant to read when the texts aren't long (which they shan't be on posters anyway).

@yo' I guess we get used to what we get used to. :) Since I don't use a lot of math, I tend not to think too much about the math fonts overall.

@DavidCarlisle It depends on the particular case, but I usually need some Greek letters, \llbracket/rrbracket and some arrows. BTW stay tuned for a tabular question...

I think the policy of saying we can drop experimental stuff without warning is right, but if we can put an ad hoc package (or answer here) that adds some version of k back it probably wouldn't hurt. (I wouldn't suggest complicating the main code with k and e at same time)
