@Johannes_B so ^^^^ if #2 has a comma the comma is treated as a comma in the hyperref keyval setting
@Johannes_B no, but then normally (eg in report) you do not separate authors by comma, you have to use \and (but that gave errors too) I suppose it's possible the class documentation says how to mark up multiple authors. some classes require one \author for each author.
I learnt LaTeX for my M.A. dissertation, using the ClassicThesis template. It is beautiful and works fine. But my University (in Vietnam) has requirements on format that are not compatible with ClassicThesis. So I am looking for a template that
complies with the University's requirements
A4...
@yo' yes either order. perhaps double first is more common, if both forms are appearing a lot, but if there is mostly only one level then you could use ' or " at will.
@yo' basically in normal text I wouldn't infer any meaning from single or double quote being used.
I'm editing a TeX file for my paper to send to another journal, but a combination that worked in other document class is causing headaches in this one.
The code looks like
% First the packages
\documentclass{imanum}
\graphicspath{{./image/}}
\usepackage{epsfig}
\usepackage{rotating}
\usepacka...
Why why my question ( tex.stackexchange.com/q/356926/96227 ) marked as a duplicate? The apparent duplicate (which I incidentally linked to) does not answer the question I asked.
@UlrikeFischer No need to be rude. There is a reasonable curiosity, I think, regarding whether the utility of titlesec can exist whilst in the memoir document class.
@Argon I didn't intend to be rude. I really don't know why you despite the answer you linked too (and the comments there including one from the memoir maintainer) are trying to use titlesec with memoir.
@Johannes_B -- it's unanswerable (not enough information), and op hasn't been seen since may 2015. he's doing lots of things that aren't recommended with amsbook, but it's not productive to say so since the problem mentioned doesn't have a clear example. i'll vote for closing as unclear.
@Johannes_B A month or two, I guess. We'd appreciate a review of the code by any of the specialist from SE. Some things in the code are pretty ugly, we know, and most other are far from perfect. That shouldn't prevent us from improving. Thanks for any help! — PhilipPirrip3 mins ago
Classicthesis team is asking for a cde review before the next release. Anybody interested?
Before anybody asks, no sarcasm this time. If the code gets better, that means customers (the users) are more satisfied.
@Johannes_B Well, in classicthesis-config.tex there is \usepackage{hyperref} and a few lines below \usepackage{classicthesis}, which in turn loads many other packages. They should start cleaning this up.
@Johannes_B I don't know without looking at the biblatex code if it is supposed to work at all, certainly the default option handling code will do nothing with foo=bar options in \documentclass
@Johannes_B As one of the comment says: biblatex ignores global options. Unlike other packages it doesn't have a bunch of options declared, but processes all its options in the \DeclareOption* as "unknown" options.
@UlrikeFischer @DavidCarlisle I am not a fan of loading biblatex in a class. I would be happy anybody adding an answer of the kind: Don't do it. We can of course let it rest a little bit longer. No harm done.
@DavidCarlisle @Johannes_B I didn't suggested anything ;-). And you can't pass the complete \@classoptionslist to biblatex, you would get errors for unknown options. The class would have to setup an option biblatex={style=authoryear,backend=biber} Or the users would have to use \PassOptionsToPackage before \documentclass.
@UlrikeFischer well that depends on the class. As posted the class has no options other than ones to be passed to biblatex. If you also want to allow 10pt and friends you have to work harder, I agree. Anyway @Johannes_B can post an answer:-)
@Dr.ManuelKuehner: If you have problems with \DeclareTotalAssociatedCounters you can split the statement into \NewTotalDocumentCounter{totalframenumbers}\DeclareAssociatedCounters{framenumbers}{totalframenumbers}
@ChristianHupfer Important is "Packaged on" (2016...) -- the other date is just when I installed it on my machine. The package is very interesting! Still -- it would be cool if I could get a solution without an additional package. I'll have a look with the new code....give me e minute
@ChristianHupfer Right. The update destroyed the MiKTeX installation....I cannot compile atm. Damn. I restart now and if it still fails then I call it a day and try again tomorrow.
I've actually been able to gain reputation on this site and answer questions without being told 20 different reasons why it's off topic and should be removed
@Artillect We have very few OT questions, actually. I believe that the most frequent reason for closing is “Unclear”, but in general we are willing to wait a few days (even weeks, actually) for the OP to improve unclear questions.
