Should this be flagged as NAA?

@user3140225 well, it is not a link-only answer
strictly speaking
without the markdown it still has some information

@Zanna I see. Thanks!

@EliahKagan I think that can be deleted. Since OP deleted their account therefore it's unlikely to get clear.

I think that this question, although highly voted and with three answers, isn't about Ubuntu, or Linux in general. Yes, in Linux not all files need to have an extension, but, as one can tell from the screenshot, the OP uses Windows and the most probable reason that they don't see the files extensions is that they haven't disabled the Windows option for hiding extensions for known file types.
My reasoning for this is that the circled files (e.g COPYING, CREDITS, FAQ, README) usually have a .txt, .log or .md extension, which isn't shown in Windows if the aboveentioned option is not disabled.

I fail to see how this is an Ubuntu question... — Thomas Ward ♦ 22 hours ago
Indeed. :)
Neither the file explorer looks like Nautilus/Thunar/Nemo...
I held back my close vote earlier because the question and answers were highly voted. And I am not sure whether to cast a close vote. Difficult situation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Kulfy Fun fact: I got this as an audit in review and flagged it as OT, but I got "You didn't pass."

You might like to take this to meta.

You mean just the audit thing or the question as a whole?

@user3140225 Taking the question would be fine. I think.

OK. I'll do it. Thanks.

@karel Were you reporting a question to Natty? Or pasted the wrong link?

@Kulfy The question that I reported to Natty is OT Armbian

AFAIK Natty doesn't report questions. Its only for answers.

Hope it makes sense.

+1 :)

@Kulfy Thank you!

@Natty tp
@user3140225 I think people are a little bit overexcited about the knowledge that Linux doesn't rely on filename extensions as much as Windows does.
questions about filename extensions tend to get hot

@Zanna Yeah, so it seems.

I see Thomas Ward agreed that the question is off-topic and closed it

This question really needs editing, imho, but since I'm not able to understand it I can't do anything

OT-EOL or may be a dupe of something.

@Kulfy Yes. I can't vote to delete it, though. In the first 48 hours after closure, 20k deletion requires that a question have score -3 or below. In another ~1 day, it will be 20k deletable.

It need one more downvote. Or 1 day.

7:28 PM
@Natty Does this make the question OT bug?

I would wait. At least to be sure the bug report really captures the problem the OP has described, in the OP's case.

OT -> not about Ubuntu There's no need for a custom close reason there (secondarily, I don't think the custom close reason that's been used reflects our actual policies).
