@StrixVaria Seeing this still open in another tab to share with others, I suddenly realized that I now imagine that all iPhones are voiced by Heffer Wolfe.
I don't have a CD drive so was wondering if it is possible to activate a retail copy of SimCity via Origin and just download the game from Origin rather than installing it using the disk?
Smallest footprint of a factory is actually just 2x1x1: One ender chest for the input, one ender chest for the output. Everything else in your own private Mystcraft world with a world anchor nearby. :D
Working with computer controlled crafters is tricky... there's no real easy way to make sure that there's the correct item in each slot, except by always keeping 1 item in each slot.
As a result, this thing can't craft too many solars per request. I may just build a standard fabricator setup
Up to 7, based on cobble requirements. Also, again the issue with not-ghost-items adds the requirement of having a stack of pretty much every crafting component in the manager.
I am still pleased with this build though. And we'll see what RG does with the crafter later
But the "7 or less panels per request" thing is a rather large issue, since that means it won't be able to do even LV panels...
@OrigamiRobot I'm probably going to go geothermal or nuclear for my secret volcano base that nobody knows about. I kind of want to build a CRCS reactor... but I'm not quite confident enough in my nuclear engineering skills to do it.
@badp That, is decay. It happens when you tell the world to generate with more ores than normal, or with something stupid like "Plains, Ocean, Single Biome"
@badp It's a mod called Mystcraft that allows players to make their own dimensions by defining what they want in that dimension. Improper age writing leads to instability, which, in light cases, will cause debuffs like hunger or slowness
But in extreme cases, will cause decay to literally destroy the world.
In this case, the player added "Dense ores" which generates more ores than normal, but will guarantee severe instability. And since they were dumb enough to quarry in such a place... they deserve it
@MartinSojka The poster said it was theirs. But, again, creative, so why does it matter anyway?
I don't understand people who feel the need to gather resources if they're already going semi-creative. Unless I suppose he may have been flying for the picture...
That actually makes more sense... I should stop accusing people of being cheaty bastards on sight like that.
It is somewhat feasible to assume that Terrans and Protoss use the same Materials for building their stuff. But how do the Zerg fit into this? It seems strange to me that the Zerg use the very same resources that Terrans and Protoss.
I do not remember that there was ever a satisfactory explanati...
@YiJiang'sEvilClone Mystcraft only does that to the worlds it generates, not to the main "overworld". It gives you even more ways to shoot yourself in the foot - you can easily get trapped in such a world without any way to ever reach the main world again (without using /tpx, of course).
No way for anyone to reach you and help you, either.
Good for "prison dimensions" though - skylands, perpetual night, some nasty biomes, maybe lava for water ... throw anyone who likes to grief your server in there after emptying their inventory, problem solved.
@Sconibulus You can create any number of "book-portals" (linking books) or "crystal portals" to your world, and anyone can use them (per default, server permission plugins can override that). The problem arises when all such portals get destroyed and you can't create more ...
@RonanForman Not in every age. Also there's the "perpetual night" ones where you'll have to fight creeper hordes on the way to those resources if you're lucky, Mo'Creature's ogres, golems and fire wraiths if you aren't ...
@OrigamiRobot We restarted our FTB map on Monday evening.. back to using the highlands biome mod.. could not be happier with the terrain.. it bleeds into mystcraft easily enough too
I posted a uncomfortable question that many people downvote and upvote. and the consequence is :
it is closed by someone
it got -30 downvotes
i wanna delete it by myself
it is deleted by someone.
I got 100 reputation penalty.
My question is:
Is it fair if many people want to get someone's al...
@kalina The guy posted a seriously stupid question, and it was gathering downvotes galore. He wouldn't delete it, though. So once the last offensive flag was made, it got auto-deleted, he lost 100 rep (because offensive), and then he whined to meta about it.
@GraceNote There's been a lot lately in terms of last week or two. Note that I don't actually care that much. This is just usual Bridge nonsense where you call someone out for something. People can post ponies all they want! I can complain about it all I want too!
@GraceNote It was also meant to be non-serious, but that doesn't always translate great in text. I'm definitely not a fan of the ponies, but I think I enjoy complaining about them more than I want them gone. :)
@Sterno You know, there are a lot of other things I'd love to talk about, but no one else in this room cares about. For instance, I'd love a good discussion about the implications of the new HTML5 scoped style specifications
@tiddy The primary use case here I believe is I have embedded widgets and the like, where your CSS is essentially operating in an environment with other styles already declared
@RonanForman We saw a huge amount of spam spewing from them towards the end of our last map. Never did figure out if it was a specific type of chunk loader or not.
