Monsters level with you too. So a lvl 60 will always run into lvl 60 mobs

i'm asking because i decided to make a hardcore character and play on expert level, even though i'm not an expert it's much more exciting to play that way, anyway, i found that my character would die at pretty much the same points every time...

...so i would group up with other people for those bits and it was possible to survive, but i would prefer to play private so that i can stop and start when i want without having to wait for people to come and without having to leave a game in progress, so i'm wondering if level up a bit before the "hard" bits, will they be not so hard as they would be if i hadn't leveled up

If you aren't gearing up fast enough you definitely feel the pain of it on harder difficulties.

The problem of playing on a higher difficulty is that you earn more XP, which means you're leveling faster. Normally this is good, but it also means you're getting less gear upgrades per level, which means it's easy for your gear to fall behind the curve.

You'll have to learn how to beat the monsters that keep killing you. Don't be afraid to run away in hardcore play.
