From my experience : NO, I disconnected on the scoreboard and the win wasn't registered, and I guess I took a match making penalty (I can't tell for sure since I quitted the game completely that day).
@FEichinger I think his point is that there are too many differences between the two series for to be to a good question (too broad), and that since "core" is subjective you need to a lot more to fcous the question.
@Wipqozn And if we have someone knowing that it's "too many differences", I'm perfectly fine with it. @Frank making assumptions about that is what I don't like here.
I disagree with banning these wholesale. I don't disagree that we can close some of these as "Not A Real Question", citing Raven's answer.
Consider a very close kin to these kinds of questions - version differences. Which has its own tag, even. But both of them operate on the same intent - they...
@Frank Considering they're both lines of FPS in the same franchise, I wouldn't say there's that much more "information as to why they are similar" necessary.
I entered the Battlefield universe with BF3 but since then I read and heard so many people willing that BF3 and BF4 were similar to the Bad Company series or that DICE should "go back to Bad Company". I mean BF3 and BF4 are pretty good games and I don't get why people go crazy about Bad Company.
...
Comparing BF4 to BFBC2 is like comparing COD MW to COD MW2. There are some differences but certainly not something that can't be answered in a few paragraphs.
Is there any point in taking the alternate exits in Bit Trip Runner 2? I can't see any benefit to doing so in terms of unlocking a different path in the overworld, so is it just for your own benefit?
For some research purposes I'm looking for the exact number of monsters that may actually hurt/kill the player in Amnesia: The Dark Descent and in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. I looked at the respecive wikis but they only mentioned what type of monsters are there in the games, not their numbers.
@FEichinger As much as I agree with your point, I have to note this: are you saying someone with (objectively) more knowledge about the subject matter at hand automatically trumps anyone who doesn't?
Everything was working fine. I was able to change clothes anytime and it would save. Now, all of a sudden- every time i die or change servers my clothes reset to the outfit i had purchased at the start. I would love to create and keep my own look, any ideas why this is happening? - georgia
Well, technically speaking, they both have/had multiplayer and singleplayer. Bad Company just had a bit more of a cohesive storyline to it and Battlefield is more well known for its multiplayer.
@Yuki When determining the scope of a question, one should at least be largely familiar with the subject matter. Anything else is a baseless assumption formed purely to force a specific phrasing of the question to fulfill "I need to see this word in there!"
@FEichinger I honestly don't think that is what frank is doing at all. He's made it clear he doesn't think that adding "core" into the question fixes his concerns with the question at all.
@Wipqozn Which is based on the assumption that the question is - regardless of "core" or not - too big in scope. Without being familiar with the subject matter, that is simply baseless.
@FEichinger Frank seems to be familiar enough with both games to understand there are major differences between the two. Even if he wasn't, I don't think phrasing his desires as "I need to see this word!" is really going to help the situation. It's just going to create more hostility.
@Wipqozn He wants it "focused on a specific part of the game", which I feel is not necessary to define the scope of an already very clearly scoped question, and just furthers the use of keywords in the question.
Seriously, now, I've been arguing for half an hour that the problem is that you are not familiar with the subject matter and you end up having confused two games?
@JasonBerkan I'm sure people did, but he did have a lot of bad posts. I downvoted quite a few of his questions for being poor, it didn't mean I was targetting him.
seriously though, I feel victimised. Somebody should investigate why I am being downvoted so much so that the user who keeps downvoting me can get banned (which will probably also stop these random chat flags)
I think The Girl Who Leapt Through Time kinda distorted my perception of anime. The subtext is actually subtext as opposed to how in-your-face most anime are.
@BenBrocka I, too, am sitting as right-next-to-platinum. But other games have stolen my time so I haven't gotten to it. Also the whole "GOTTA RUN 5 MILLION MILES ON UNI" is still a thing.
@GraceNote Getting plat will take less time. I think the last I needed was bad end on V, and a ton of endings (which actually took less time than expected) in Mk2. I also hate the human ending now
@RolandiXor And we've pointed out to people in this room several times that not everything they find offensive is actually going to get actioned, and vice versa.
