@AnnaLear The main problem I have with it is that someone is not likely to remember the full domain upon hearing it the first time without writing it down
@FallenAngelEyes Yeah, it's really annoying. I'm not sure on the exact method of my colour blindness, but certain shades of blue/purple and green/yellow are my main problems. The worst part is nearly every puzzle game ever insists on using those two same shades up yellow/green and blue/purple that I can't see. I have a colour blind friend as well who think the same.
@ArdaXi To be fair, SO has had 2 years to build up traffic and indexing. Before it came around, googling "stack overflow" was pages and pages of "why am I getting this exception".
I find when I google for actual information, I get gaming SE hits. I don't see myself googling for "gaming" just as I don't see googling for "Stack overflow" or "programmers" or "christianity" to find the site. Who googles like that? :)
@FallenAngelEyes People's search skills suck, but I do think people are more likely to google for the problem they're having (Even if badly) than for a site name.
@AnnaLear Yes, and the irony is that people now complain that it's impossible to search online for the causes of stack overflows because SO places so high in search results.
@AnnaLear Well, if you were talking to someone about a site but didn't write it down, you'll probably Google the name. Especially with Chrome taking off it's faster to Google the name than to try a domain.
@FallenAngelEyes It depends an the colour. SOme colours I see without any problems, others I see it as a different colour. Certain shades of green I see as a shade of yellow for example. Furthermore, I'm fairly certain purple doesn't actually exist and the world is all in one huge conspiracy against me.
I have an iron door on the first floor (to the outside) of my tower. I tried to put a switch on both sides of the door so it can be opened from the inside and the outside. My problem is that because the switch has an "On" and "Off" if I open the door from the outside I need to turn "On" the switc...
> I heard to play the game on your PC, Ubisoft is requiring you to install a DRM hardware device that will kick you in the balls before it lets you play.
@ArdaXi You can't just start a new cTLD. cTLD's are given to the various governments of the world and unless a new country forms, there are a finite number of them.
> I'm not a real programmer. I throw together things until it works then I move on. The real programmers will say "Yeah it works but you're leaking memory everywhere. Perhaps we should fix that." I’ll just restart Apache every 10 requests.
In Deus Ex: Human Revolution, is it possible to get the pacifist achievement even if one kills enemies in the opening sequence? Boss fight kills do not count against the achievement, so I'm wondering if the same applies to the start of the game since you have fewer tools at your disposal.
I've been playing the mobile version of Minecraft for a few days now, and have yet to see an underground cave system. Are there any generated with the terrain, or is it all solid ground?
