The way to think about that problem is to pretend you have an extra 3 because it's twice as likely. Hence, {1,2,3,3,4,5,6}. The probabilities of 1/7 and 2/7 follow naturally.

@AshwinGupta Sounds like you're on the right track, but the thing with probabilities is that all of the probabilities have to sum to 1. If each number is 1/(7/6) = 6/7, with one number as 2/(7/6) = 12/7, (6+6+12+6+6+6)/7 ≠ 1.

You're effectively duplicating a face, so you just get 7/x = 1, rearrange that and you get x = 7/1
