@wat This is always a complex legal matter of law and circumstances. There's no answer for any situation involving this question that could be answered in less than an A4 page analysis </lawyer answer>

So let's cease with the discussion of such illegal matters. Continued discussion will be met with kicks.

@DJMcMayhem it's installed on my sis's computer and she is not techy at all
and I didn't do it

@Mego is the italics room owner status?

6:02 PM
@mınxomaτ isn't an a4 page the size of a 8.5*11 US standard, approximately?
@muddyfish yes

@muddyfish Yes.
@Riker A4 is 297mm by 210mm.

@Riker Sorry I only know sane formats. Not familiar with US paper sizes.

> sane formats

@Riker I didn't have neovim installed on my Yosemite computer

... I actually can't argue with that
@KritixiLithos then htf did she get it o-O
I'll double check in a moment

6:03 PM
@KritixiLithos No, you can't have access to a private room. It's private for a reason.

A0 is 1m^2, where the side ratio is sqrt(2).

Anonymous
A4 is close to 8.5x11, but not quite the same

maybe it was just normal vim

It's easy. You've got Letter, Legal, Journal, Envelope, Card ... y'know, you're probably right.

DIN paper sizes are objectively awesome.

6:04 PM
A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 are half of the previous, retaining the ratio.

@mınxomaτ din?

@ArtOfCode It was an accident

wat
@AdmBorkBork Tabloid!

I think A6+ are different, slightly.

@Riker DIN is the standard (DIN A4 etc.). DIN is Germany's ISO.

6:04 PM
and neither can you, @wat

@mınxomaτ ah, makes sense

wat
@ArtOfCode neither can I wat?

ISO I get, but it was just the german part I didn't

@KritixiLithos No, you can't have access to a private room. It's private for a reason.

@mınxomaτ Wouldn't DIN be more comparable to ANSI than ISO?

6:06 PM
@RohanJhunjhunwala depends

@Riker that would make more sense. I had Yosemite for a little while, and I remember neovim being a pain

> Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (DIN; in English, the German Institute for Standardization) is the German national organization for standardization and is the German ISO member body. DIN is a German Registered Association (e.V.) headquartered in Berlin. There are currently around thirty thousand DIN Standards, covering nearly every field of technology.

For God's sake, I don't recommend gaining access to that room. I don't know what experience you'll leave with.

I don't read what's in Trashcan.
There's a reason for that.

I am trying to build (and run) a single java source file from the command line. @muddyfish @Riker (with preferrably a one liner)

6:06 PM
@muddyfish my dad has a industrial printer for work that prints up to 36*36 inches (about a meter squared)

Anonymous
@mınxomaτ So it's a member of ISO. That would be roughly equivalent to ANSI, if ANSI attempted to follow ISO standards.

@RohanJhunjhunwala solution: don't use java >_>

@wizzwizz4 So is it a mod-only chatroom?

I don't java sorry
@KritixiLithos no, just a private one

Gallery rooms can be viewed by anyone, but only users with access and/or diamonds can chat. Private rooms don't appear in room lists, and can't even be viewed without explicit access.

@Mego Fun fact: If something is really ordinary, we commonly say it's "08/15", which comes from a DIn standard for the MG 08 rifle. (probably, history is a bit fuzzy here)

That might do what you want if you can work out what the variables mean

Anonymous
@RohanJhunjhunwala Make sure you have the JDK downloaded/installed and that javac is on your path.

Well then make sure you don't check Jon skeet's rep tab

you need the raw link, not the github link if you want it to onebox

@Riker Thank you for the onebox

6:51 PM
@RohanJhunjhunwala sure :D
not sure how to do your very complex Java tho
what IDE do you use to make your IDE?

@Downgoat the Ide itself... (not really, I use NetBeans) really all I'm looking for is the interpreter (in any language) a command to invoke it and perhaps a couple of files to describe a simple system of syntax highlighting. Take a look at the readme if you might be interested) github.com/rjhunjhunwala/S.I.D.E If you're really interested I would love to have an implementation of a method which takes in CHeddar and outputs a color array for highlighting

7:02 PM
@DJMcMayhem I'd say the latter. But it depends.
What are you trying to do, in context?

I'm trying to guarantee that a certain number is even
If it is odd, subtract one

Anonymous
@DJMcMayhem The first one

@DJMcMayhem I'd use if (offset % 2) { offset -= 1; }.

I suppose I could be more explicit about it. if (offset % 2 == 1) offset -= 1;

Good code and code golf are pretty much exact opposites, haha
Cause the golfiest is o^=1;

@DJMcMayhem It's ironic that this room is used for both.
