Q: Command line VBScript spam bot

Cᴏɴᴏʀ O'BʀɪᴇɴI have made a simple program that, given a string and how many times to repeat it, it waits a second and types that string N times, followed by an enter key. It is made for applications like skype. The waiting is so that you can get from the console to the application on time. Dim i Set s = WScr...

:P

@Zgarb I'm not sure which what option I went, but since it isn't behaving as expected, I probably compiled. Sorry 'bout that. I'll take care of it as soon as I get home.

@Dennis No worries!

@flawr Hehe, I don't think you'd pass any tests if you used it on the day, and I don't think it would work long term, you'd probably kill yourself before you got any advantage :P

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ thanks for reminding me that microsoft somehow managed to make a web scripting language that's even worse than javascript

@aditsu geez you're just spewing unpleasantness ._.

10:08 PM
ok, then I won't thank you next time :p

Well, I was finally able to get Chrome working with selenium web driver, and now my solution is 11 bytes shorter!:

NASA is gonna live stream :D

@Doorknob True, but not by much.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Unless you're trying to reply to a comment from your phone, find a user on the users page, etc.

@Dennis @ still autocompletes.

Not sure about other phones, but it doesn't on mine.

Q: How to find the connections or relation between items in an array?

lalongoooConsider the following image, it is an array of items: The items in the array are sorted by an attribute called id (the number in the black circle) The attribute id is unique. Each item has two additional attributes (in parenthesis within the circle) : from and to Each item is connected or ...

10:57 PM
@Maltysen Doesn't work for me on Ubuntu running FF 47.0

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ How do I activate these mystical shortcuts?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ಠ_ಠ

He's right though

@mınxomaτ yet vague

11:09 PM
hello

@aloisdg Hello. How's it going?

@AshwinGupta It's all in Spanish. o.o

> Started streaming on Jun 29, 2015
That's one long livestream

Sure Bloomberg's stream has been running longer.

fine and you? :)

11:23 PM
@VTCAKAVSMoACE option-shift-[qwert...] is the superscript
and option-shift-[ or opt-shift-] or opt-shift-| for ¯_(ツ)_/¯, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), ಠ_ಠ
and option-[qwert...] is the normal lowercase, just in case you need to type something e.g. into google

@aloisdg As good as always.

Could someone give me a single concrete reason why gnome-terminal is worse than other terminals?

@LegionMammal978 haven't used it in a long time
let's see...
can it go full screen?

Q: Parse and Process the Key-Language Input

R. KapLet's parse and process Key-Language! Given the input of a sequence of keyboard keypresses and/or special keys, write a program, function, etc. that outputs the product when all the actions are processed based on the following keyboard: +-------------------------------------------------------+ |...

11:28 PM
@orlp Well, the window can be maximized to cover the entire screen, which is basically fullscreen in my opinion

@LegionMammal978 not in my opinion :P

@orlp I mean, what's the point?

less distraction

Wait, no, it does support fullscreen with F11, my mistake

@LegionMammal978 it uses gtk also I prefer my tab in my DE.

11:30 PM
@LegionMammal978 ok :)

@aloisdg DE?

@LegionMammal978 desktop environment (gnome, kde, i3, dwm, etc)

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ Sweet.

(And what specifically is wrong with GTK?)

@LegionMammal978 nothing. I just dont want to use it if I can avoid it.

11:32 PM
Okay, then...
But I'm looking for concrete reasons here

I don't really care what terminal emulator you use
as long as you use tmux

@LegionMammal978 Umm... the acronym sucks?
GTK just isn't pronounceable enough >_>

@orlp tmux?

@Geobits G-tech

11:34 PM
@Geobits gee-tee-kay not good enough?

@LegionMammal978 it feels slow.

@LegionMammal978 yes, tmux
or terminal multiplexer

@aloisdg Well, it has less syllables than San Francisco...

@LegionMammal978 Nah. Good acronyms are pronounceable. Otherwise it's just an initialism :P

@LegionMammal978 it allows you to run multiple shells in the same terminal, close the terminal and come back, have multiple terminals run the same session, log in from remote and join the same session, etc..

11:35 PM
@Geobits Now, try pronouncing GAaPOiJaI ;)

split windows (I don't use this), etc

@orlp gnome-terminal does support tabbing
But yeah, I'll look into tmux

@LegionMammal978 Why not GAPOJI? That's pronounceable.

@LegionMammal978 try urxvt or termite too :)

@LegionMammal978 not if you enter through SSH :)
and tabs are inferior to tmux

11:38 PM
@LegionMammal978 It's So Hard, And Really Difficult.

@VTCAKAVSMoACE ...so, we have it: GAPOJI (Good Acronyms are Pronounceable, Otherwise Just Initialisms).

@LegionMammal978 gah-poh-gee

Oh, I was using gap-OH-gee

whichever

Funny: The Google Translate Arabic text-to-speech pronounces "gtk" as "g-teek".

11:42 PM
The g is more of a dj though
or zh in some languages I guess. It's that weird sound.

@Geobits Yeah, like g as in gif

Whatevs breh
@LegionMammal978 dammit bobby

Even softer than the regular gif soft g :P

wait I just read on reddit

11:43 PM
uh oh

americans don't (generally) shower in the evening??

As in the French pronunciation of "je"?

I shower in the evening and in the morning

@orlp That's true for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

More funny: It pronounces "GTK" as "kya"

11:43 PM
how can you go to bed all dirty?

@orlp I don't do anything during the day, so I don't get dirty.

@VTCAKAVSMoACE hah! yeah right

@VTCAKAVSMoACE I don't know French, but like I hear people say the g in Fabergé.

I'm always traveling, reading, or programming. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11:45 PM
I'm sure that after a day of travelling you smell like roses

Maybe he travels through rose gardens?

@orlp I smell great, what're you on about?

I shower in the morning, and sometimes also in the evening. It depends on what I've done during the day. I do often enough, simply because Florida is hot :/

^ If I've gotten sweaty during the day or dirty in any way, I typically shower in the evening too, but most nights I don't have a reason to.
