Is it somehow possible to get the error messages in jsfiddle, that you would otherwise see on the console?
If not I'd run it in a html file, and use the console / firebug for debugging.

I'm also running it in the Stack Snippet editing window, which has a console. No console errors.

[[1, 35], [2, 95], [3, 159], [4, 227], [5, 48], [6, 124]] should be a valid secret set for n = 6, t = 3, s = 1234, but the snippet is showing false

The corresponding polynomial would be f(x) = 1234 + 54*x^1 + 2*x^2

@Mego Does it make sense to generate random integers from 0-255? Why not 0-250 ?

9:12 AM
@R.Kap Hi =)

Anonymous
@flawr Modding the coefficients by 251 isn't necesary - we're only modding the outputs by 251. For a polynomial of degree n whose coefficients are in [0, 255], there exists a polynomial of degree n whose coefficients are in [0, 250] and is congruent to the first modulo 251, but computing that reduced polynomial isn't necessary. Choosing a random 8-bit unsigned integer seemed more natural.

I am really curious. What happened to @EʀɪᴋᴛʜᴇGᴏʟғᴇʀ and all his reputation?

@R.Kap From the context (or rather, lack thereof), they probably violated a major SE chat policy and got their message(s) removed, along with the surrounding context

The only people who know are the mods and him (and possibly anybody else who saw what went down). We don't speculate on why people get suspended, especially while they're suspended and can't defend themselves.

@zʏᴀʙiɴ101 just saw you had to modify brainfuck in your ad, sad we always come back to censor

If they choose, after their suspension ends, they can tell people why they were suspended, but otherwise it's between them and the mods.

@Lembik Aw, too late.

@Lembik No problem. It's a pretty good answer.

@R.Kap I love it

@Lembik Screw is a swear word too, but have some legitimate uses. brainfuck is a legitimate use of the swear word fuck in this case, right?

@Katenkyo do you want a video? :)

@Bálint Well, you're entitled to your opinion.
I personally really like the concept of Minecraft.

@R.Kap I got bored of it

That's the same for Putain in french. It was the word for Prostitute before we started banning it because prostitué has a higher level of political correctness
What I mean is: simple letters aren't offensive, so why should a word used in a non-offensive context be offensive?
@Lembik (Also, No)

9:37 AM
@Bálint Okay

@R.Kap I find it boring until you play with modpacks like Feed The Beast's

@Katenkyo I think your question is all upside down. The word is offensive because people find it offensive. If you want to know why that is, it is because for almost everyone it still conjures up an image of violent or forceful sex

@Lembik in my country on TV you can hear things way worse than fuck uncensored and no one cares

@Fatalize at all times of day?

@Lembik So if I find the word grape offensive because it's a metaphor for X event which is really bad because of reason Y, we can ban it from our vocabulary?

9:41 AM
@Lembik At prime times say 8pm

@Katenkyo if most people do then yes you would have to be careful where you say it. If only you do then you are SOL
@Fatalize which country?

@Lembik France

@Lembik Same as mine

@Katenkyo which country?
@Fatalize interesting.. then clearly those words aren't that offensive in French!
but they are in English

e.g. in Le grand journal I used to hear much more suggestive/provocative things than the equivalent of fuck

9:43 AM
@Lembik So why should I be cautious when using a swear word, if the problem comes from the one who hear it, and not the one who pronounce it?

and it's a famous prime time show

@Katenkyo that's a bizarre argument. Would you say the same about stabbing someone?

@Lembik They truely are offensive :)
French people loves to swear

@Lembik Words aren't offensive in French, they are if you aim them at someone

@Fatalize that's interesting.

9:44 AM
@Lembik This argument comes from what you just said.

Chat mini challenge! Decode the string 'Kgfozi|}di|agf{)Qg}W\x7faf&&&fg|`afo&&&OgglWbgj&'.

@Katenkyo it doesn't in any way!

@Lembik if peoples think it is offensive, be cautious when you use it. If you're the only one > SOL I interpret that as if people may take that as offensive, be careful. Anyway, if you hear that, and they don't know/care that it's offensive to you, you can sob in your bed alone

@Katenkyo well you read it wrong
@Katenkyo it means that if only you find a word offensive then you can't expect society to stop using it
but if most people find something offensive, you should be careful when you say it
I think you are missing the concepts of "most" and "society"

Actually, decode the string 'Kgfozi|}di|agf{)Qg}W_af&&&fg|`afo&&&OgglWbgj&' if you can.
@Lembik @Katenkyo How about we all just agree to disagree, stop this argument, make up, and go out for some virtual ice cream?

9:50 AM
@Lembik In this case, I don't think most people find it offensive, but are only offended because the society tell them that's the conventional way to react. Good luck finding 51% of english speakers (of world population?) who find brainfuck offensive

@R.Kap yes :)

@R.Kap Chemobot seems to have ice cream.

@R.Kap Actually, that's interesting, at least from my point of view, it helps to confront sometimes

@Katenkyo Good luck getting money for the survey :)
@Katenkyo but of course the relevant population isn't the globe. It's people who are likely to hear or see it

That's a point of view I never really explored, as I'm living in a country where we're lax on swear words.

9:51 AM
living* :p

@Katenkyo some cultures don't really have swear words. I am aware of that
but English does and when in Rome...

@Lembik We DO have swear words, but their offensiveness depends on context

Q: BrainDoge interpreter Code Golf!

Matthew RohStory One day, I saw a shibe. It made a programming language called "BrainDoge: Programming for Shibes". It said "Such language, Much fun!". then It disappeared. After then, I had an idea! I thought: "Why not make it a code golf competition?" And... Well thats pretty much it. BrainDoge ISA ...

but e.g. australians are much more relaxed with swear words than americans

@Katenkyo so is your argument now that if asked the question "Do you word brainfuck offensive?" most English speaking people would answer no?
@Fatalize true

9:52 AM
Also, people who say it is offensive because most people find it offensive should be the ones to do the survey :p

@Fatalize not really
Swearing isn't part of modern and polite culture

but you don't censor a fuck on TV do you?

@Katenkyo actually I didn't say it is offensive because most people find it offensive. I said that if most people find it offensive then you be careful when you say it. There is a logical difference
@Fatalize they are censored in the US and UK
less in the UK than the US

@R.Kap yum!

9:53 AM
@Fatalize that is very much censored, Australia is massively censored

^Virtual Ice Cream
:3

Our department stores don't even stock Grand Theft Auto 5

@Lembik And that you had to be careful only because it was offensive to 51% of the English population

@Quill LOL

•u•

9:54 AM
@Katenkyo no.. you added the word only
If A then B is not that same as if B then A

@Lembik Ok, so I find grape offensive, there's no more condition on you being careful when using it
Afterall, it contains the word rape !

@Katenkyo as I said.. if you are the only one who finds it offensive then you are out of luck
grape is not made up from the words g and rape

TL;DR english speakers are hung up about swear words

brainfuck refers to fucking a brain

@Lembik It refers to a brain that's fucked up, there's a difference

9:56 AM
@Lembik BrainFuck refers to a programming language. Capice?

^^

I am not enjoying my ice cream :)

@Lembik ALso, what's the difference if the part of the population thinking it's offensive isn't a mandatory condition ? ^^

@Katenkyo I will agree with everything you say if you post a good answer to my challenge :)

@R.Kap Yeah, we know that, but why would people find it offensive?
@Lembik Haha, I'll eat soon, so no time for this, maybe this afternoon ^^

9:57 AM
thanks!

@Lembik Desperate for green points

Well, it's not offensive to me, and I don't see why it should be offensive to other people based on the context its used in, but hey, everyone has their own views.

Looks like we can't find an agreement on this point ^^.

@Fatalize I am desperate for answers :)
definitely no agreement until you answer.. at which point you are right :)

If only I could be right, things would be easier if people wouldn't be offended by everything ^^

9:59 AM
:)

But for me, all that matters right now is the ice cream.
An even more ice cream.

Also, something interesting about English speakers, is that they don't find swear words in other languages offensive -> Matrix for instance

@Katenkyo What language is "Matrix" a swear word in?

@R.Kap In the movie Matrix, there's lots of swear words in French at one point, but that didn't cause any problem (opposed to the use of a single fuck in a movie)

Q: Parse and Process the Key-Language Input

R. KapLet's parse and process Key-Language! Given the input of a sequence of keyboard keypresses and/or special keys, write a program, function, etc. that outputs the product when all the actions are processed based on the following keyboard: +-------------------------------------------------------+ |...

Anyone want to give this a shot?

@Mego I'd perhaps still allow (additionally to 0-255) random numbers from 0-250 for languages that can calculate directly in GF(251). I imagine in that case it would be unnecessarily complicated to generate numbers 0-255 and then map them to th entries of GF(251)

@Katenkyo Well most likely because they don't speak it and therefore don't even know a swear word is being said...

@R.Kap In this case they knew it, as the character explently says he's going to swear

@Katenkyo Oh. Well, I don't really remember much from those movies, so what do I know? \_^_^_/

10:09 AM
@Katenkyo Dang, what a quote...

@R.Kap I think it's clear that it's offensive, it contains some swear words, so why aren't they offended? That's like a paradox for me :p

"it's like wiping your arse with silk..." Uhh, okay...I don't know how good that would feel...

(Also, I won't translate the curse, but if you can understand french, it's beautiful ^^)

@Katenkyo Maybe some people were, but we just don't know about it.

@R.Kap Americans are prompt to react on these things, even when it's only some people

@thepiercingarrow Nah, I got this. I messed around for a little bit and have to say that the core concept is really cool.

@R.Kap Yeah... are you familiar with git in the shell?

@R.Kap I can help you form in the large GitHub space.

@thepiercingarrow Git in the shell? Yeah, that's what package managers use all the time, right?

But can't until I get back home (after 17:00).

10:40 AM
@R.Kap Yup, although the ones written in C normally use gitlib or something...

@thepiercingarrow Ah, I see.

Also, I'll tutor in the Sandbox.

It's really cool to see how much GitHub is used now-a-days for programming language packages/libraries.

@R.Kap Yeah... although some people are switching to GitLab
because of the rumors surrounding GitHub, and also GitLab is open sourced.
But GitLab is still in early stages... and sorta slow and buggy
@R.Kap Anything you're working on?

I'm both on GitHub and the official GitLab server.

10:43 AM
@thepiercingarrow Well, I did create this really cool answer using Selenium Webdriver in Python:

@thepiercingarrow Well, in that case, I'll probably use it when it's in a more stable stage. For now, GitHub suits my needs just fine.

@R.Kap nice account...

@thepiercingarrow How did you find my GitHub?

10:45 AM
@R.Kap Lol. RyanxR
Try making a repository called RyanxR.github.io, then put an index.html in the root.

@thepiercingarrow Did you actually find my GitHub?

So basically, I'm not teaching you.

@thepiercingarrow Why?

Good luck being lost and found in the large GitHub world.
:|

@R.Kap I made a request to the GitHub API for recently created users, then grepped recursively for rkap
@R.Kap Then you get your own website at RyanxR.github.io

10:49 AM
@thepiercingarrow But my GitHub name is not even rkap...Heck, it does not even contain rkap...

@R.Kap You name is put down as R.Kap

@thepiercingarrow No it is not. My GitHub name is ImpregnableProgrammer.
R.Kap. was already taken by somebody when I was creating my account.

@R.Kap Sorry, did you not want me to find it? I'm sorry if you feel it was a breach of your privacy :(

@thepiercingarrow Find what out? It's all right if you find me on GitHub. In fact, I'm about to put my GitHub Username on my Stack Exchange profile right now.
@thepiercingarrow That is not me.
