Is there any IRC client that's compliant with elementary's human interface guidelines? If not, is anyone trying to build one?
Note that I'm asking for an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client, not a general purpose chat client that supports 10+ chat services.

@Fabby It looks like OP clinged on not installing fresh, but that's the easier solution. I agree it might be boring and time consuming to backup configuration files not in ~/.config, but stating they are important like they're doing should also imply knowing which they are. How do you state something is important if you don't know what it is? It's either laziness or fear of missing something. I understand the second one, but not the first one.

@ByteCommander Set the GID for the parent directory: chmod g+s dir, that forces the group of new files / directories created into it to be inherited by the parent folder's group
My real between-the-lines answer was: no you can't, unless the router offers an API or something, or unless you are very clever in writing curl commands.

I have recently configured All Settings/Online Accounts with some email accounts ( personal accounts - mainly yahoo and gmail ).
Is there a way of importing these accounts ( their Settings - Email / Password / IMAP / Port and so on ) in Thunderbird ?
My system (Ubuntu 15.04):

@ByteCommander I don't think so, I had a similar problem with a java executable once, he would spawn another grey icon if started from the launcher, I think it's because the main process forks. If it's because of that probably the solution would be invoking Eclipse using Java.
I've just run across 2 deleted questions from this user in the last 10 minutes. (Example here and here for 10K+ rep users )
It seems he/she/it's gaming the system and deleting he/she/its questions when he/she/it gets an answer in the comments or when his question is duplicated.

hmm - "user:14356 deleted:yes is:question" shows me all my deleted questions (I dont have any) and "user:14356 deleted:yes is:answer" shows all my deleted answers - I have 122 deleted answers
