sort -k 1,1 should sort on the first field

$ sort -k 1 a

i think the output of k 1,1 is not correct

it should be

1 c

1 b

5 f

8 a

9 e

sort command by default start sorting from first line and first field of all lines

and then goes to end of lines

with sort k 1,1 it should be stop from first field

@ByteCommander My suggestion : after installing something from a 3rd party repo, disable the repo, that's what I do, even with launchpad ppas ... when new versions are available I have the chance to check them carefully before re-enabling the repo and installing ! :)
