Yeah, I've never understood why everything is "well set up a mingw dev environment on windows and apply these 400 lines of patch to get it to build" instead of cross-building from linux
Sometime down the road I might set up a server (for a small fee) that does daily cross-builds of Windows packages using my PPA - kind of like LP recipes.

Often, I see a question that is off-topic, but I only see options on the flagging interface to flag for a close or to flag to send it to meta, which is quite limited. Is this by design since other sites don't want AU's posts being dumped there, or should this be implemented?
