I believe apt-get is just a front-end to dpkg.

That program is expecting a file named als_defaults and it appears that it is not present.

That explains the error message that you saw earlier.

Is there a solution for that?

I'm afraid not :(

You would have to talk to the people who wrote that program.

You might consider filing a bug here.
