11:00 PM
I dunno, maybe because they're showing stuff like they didn't happen

I do know Woz commented on a clip saying "this isn't at all what it was like"
But that was just one clip. Not the whole movie

@AlexM. Welcome to Hollywood ;)

And its not a documentary so who cares

Spin Masta!

@CodeAssassin that does not make it less insulting

11:01 PM
@AlexM. Do they even care?

does your question contribute at all to the line opened by your "Hmm... why?"

You know - there's people who actually care to make movies accurate and there are those who don't. I know Woz and Steve weren't in a car when they came up with the name "Apple" it was much more drawn out then that but how much of that can you actually put in a movie. Not trying to justify them but that's Hollywood lol - what do you expect?
@AlexM. Which one?

3 mins ago, by Code Assassin
@AlexM. Hmm... why?
take a look at your replies after this one and see how much they relate to this and my answer

I think you have to care to find something insulting

@ToddersLegrande I do - but I never caught what Alex caught.

11:04 PM
@ToddersLegrande well in Steve's case, he'd have to be alive to find it insulting

I also know that Hollywood is notorious for taking things out of context.

@CodeAssassin I was referring to Alex's confusion, not suggesting you did or didn't care

you lost me now
3 mins ago, by Code Assassin
@AlexM. Do they even care?
who's they?

@AlexM. The people who made the movie.

My bad

11:05 PM
Who handled the script/story-line

why would they care, and how does this relate to what I said?

I assumed we were talking about hte people who would be insulted

I said I'd find it insulting if I were SJ and alive

This is a pointless conversation

@AlexM. I'm just adding to the discussion by pointing out that even if he were alive they would not care.

11:06 PM
You have no clue how SJ would feel if he were alive

anyway, I won't watch it
when I first opened the trailer and heard that background music I though "oh great, another highschool teen drama romance shit movie"

Making judgements on something you haven't seen is always a good idea... its like people who hate Windows 8 but have never used it. (or vista, or any other thing people have joined together to hate with no true experience with the product)

I'd rather read his biography
it's... safer

The movie is for entertainment you'd be as dumb as knobs to watch ONE movie and think you know the whole story.

alright, that's what I'm saying

11:09 PM
As a person in IT I am insulted by the movie Hackers.

@AlexM. If you're going to read a biography about him I recommend Walter Isaacson's book.

that's what I have

He's a great writer - and he really spent some quality time with Steve before he passed =)

I know jobs didn't like the original cover and wanted to change it but still
wish he wasn't staring at me like that
> put this on a bookshelf

11:12 PM
> steve jobs is watching your wallet fall apart

(I'm watching you ALEX)
I think it captures his intense personality.
He also was one for design - so it's like he's studying you(my opinion DONT HATE)
lol

It's on the shelf now... I don't see the problem.

I think you think a bit highly of him
@ToddersLegrande black magic

@ChristianCareaga no problem. can you credit me tho? thats my only stipulation :P

how are you going to show visitors that you have a book about Steve Jobs like that?

11:15 PM
The visitors I have come over to play games and couldn't care less :P

you have to build this shrine with iPads and MacBooks and the book in the middle of them all

I do not own an iOS device

if possible, it should be the first thing after the door

I gave my one iPod away because I really didn't like it

@AlexM. He had his problems - he wasn't a god. Why do you say that :P I don't like my iPhone.

11:16 PM
I'm jealous of Android's ease of installing apps :(

I <3 WP8

if my iPad had that, I'd be happy to the max
I'd be buying humble android bundles

@AlexM. Was this even directed to me?

which one

11:19 PM
The comment saying "think highly of him"

yeah, you seemed to think highly of him

@AlexM. Setting the record straight - I don't.

awesome

@AlexM. -_-

I'm serious
but I keep on switching tabs
I can't use many words
I find Jobs to be, more than anything, a man who was able to put marketing to his use
but that's about it

11:22 PM
@AlexM. That was his genius.
@AlexM. I agree.
He was nothing without Woz(in the beginning). Woz was able to get it done - Steve was able to market it to the people and created a brand.

I find the iPhone to be little in the way innovation, for its time
it was some sort of Angry Birds for smartphones
i.e. what other physics games were so largely adopted before AB?

mobile physics games? I can't think of any :P

casual physics games
you can put the PC in there too

was Happy Wheels created before AB? It seems to be played a lot(indie game).

no, I meant as popular as AB

11:27 PM
Lol nothing(to my limited knowledge).

yeah well it was kind of the same with the iPhone
it contained pieces already invented by others, but it was well received
and since people didn't know better, "woooo apple inventor of smartphons woo"

I think that happened because of the customer base they had before the first iPhone, and marketing hype.

don't matter much
is it a bad sort of genius job's then?
he basically manipulated lies and made people take them w/o issues

@AlexM. He was a salesmen :P

that does not answer the question :P

11:32 PM
@AlexM. In terms of business he was a genius.
@AlexM. Lies?

business is a very broad term, limit it to marketing
I think the last thing I do not like about jobs is the whole who-copied-who thing with Google and Samsung and whatever
this whole stuff including patents is so anti-progress

You know about the whole Xerox-PARC dilemma right?

nope

@AlexM. in walter isaacson's biography. Apple stole idea's from Xerox-PARC. People might not consider it stealing but for the public Apple implemented it first.

sounds like apple
or any other company at that

but the others don't necessarily try to reach the headlines with their patent wars and stuff
or have owners starting crusades against others
anyone here into house music?
Romanians are good at it
this is my favorite mix, a bit old, but I did not look with much attention in the new stuff
it's pretty much our main musical export good at the moment
with worldwide leaders like Inna
I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I don’t know who you
are but certainly you are going to a famous blogger if you
aren’t already Cheers!
spambots are friendlier each year

@AlexM. This is your favorite song.

no, not at all :P
let me see if I can find my favorite O-Zone song
this one it is
O-Zone are from Moldova, not Romania
the song that I linked to tells about how they speak Romanian, and won't change their mind

Interesting

11:49 PM
there's a bit of pressure on the people from Moldova, coming from Russia

Not my cup of tea though. I much prefer the numa numa song :P

they are normally not allowed to consider themselves romanians

yeah, there are two kinds of people there: those who want to annex Moldova to Romania, and those who say they're not Romanian and would rather not see us ever again
here's a merrier song from them
I used to have an audio cassette with their first album

@TheProgramm3r of course!

11:52 PM
@ChristianCareaga :P
@ChristianCareaga dan left a comment on my pull request

inside Romania there's a bit of a hip-hop/rap/MC stuff current going among the younger audience
this is the only one that I really like
it talks about the people's hypocrisy when it comes to religion
it's one of those difficult to swallow ones for me
like dance with the devil by immortal technique
can't listen to them more than a couple of times a week
I always found it interesting how the biggest slut in my high school was also the most 'religious' person I've seen
the song is sort of about that
so I can relate to what it says
